In this course, learn how ServiceNow® Stream Connect uses the Direct Kafka connectivity mode to connect a ServiceNow instance directly to a customer's Apache Kafka environment—without a Hermes intermediary or a separate message replicator.

Direct Kafka works as a single-cluster integration. The ServiceNow instance acts as a Kafka client—producing messages to and consuming messages from topics on the customer's Kafka cluster—so the customer's streaming platform team controls availability, topic management, and access control end to end.
