In this video, learn how Operational Resilience works with ServiceNow IRM’s Smart Assessment Engine to automate the four-stage cycle of Assess → Test → Certify → Remediate, and then back to Assess. This Speed Learning walks the full loop end-to-end and shows where the Smart Assessment Engine (SAE) does the heavy lifting under the hood. The core mental model: the four capabilities — Importance & Impact Tolerance (IIA) Assessments, Scenario Analysis, Self-Attestation, and Operational Vulnerability Management — are the what. SAE is the how. Three of the four are directly SAE-powered (IIA, Self-Attestation, OV impact assessment). Scenario Analysis is the deliberate exception — it has its own event/participant/response-task model, but its breach findings still feed back into SAE-powered vulnerability assessments. Along the way we cover the prerequisites worth getting in place first (CSDM hierarchy, Main Node Configurations, rating-scale customization), the plugin dependency tree, the role model, and the four-dimensional tolerance framework that goes well beyond "how many hours of downtime" — Duration, Customer Impact, Financial Impact, and Transaction Volume. We close with a Meridian Insurance Group demo that walks all six chapters of the cycle and a bonus backend tour for architects and developers. #smartassessment @servicenow #riskandcompliance #operationalresilience
