Recently, the Creator Workflows App Engine Studio team was approached by a customer who has several scoped apps, and was curious about the behavior of adding a Configurable workspace to an existing scoped app that had been created in the ServiceNow Studio IDE.

Q: If a scoped app has been created previously within the Studio, can we add a Configurable workspace to the existing app using the Next Experience UI Builder?

Will the Configurable workspace inherit the application elements as it does within the Studio?

A: If you are currently licensed to use the App Engine Studio, you can open your existing application and will be able to add a Configurable workspace from within App Engine Studio.

Application elements previously created, will be inherited and accessible by the new Configurable workspace.
