Security Attribute Section in ACL | ServiceNow® Vancouver New Feature Demo
hello all this is wiges and today I want to talk about security attribute section incls let's begin what is security attribute section in so this is a new feature in one cure release where a new condition check uh is added uh to the ACLS which is part of the elevation uh evaluation of the ACL where earlier we had the checks on role conditions and scripts and now there is a new section which is added security attribute check which should also be satisfied to evaluate the ACL to true so now uh let's go to the next phase what can be evaluated in this new section in this section is again categorized into two local or existing so existing can be evaluated with the predefined security attribute criteria like where we can predefine the security attribute uh that can be like uh has an admin role where we can predefine that and then uh we can select that in the security attribute uh field in this section and uh moving on what can be evaluated in this new section with local uh we can evaluate below criterias so when you select with the local uh option then we can select on group group explicit has admin role impersonation role interactive session login role or role explicit so what are these conditions let's see in detail So Below the definitions of each conditions group if the user is part of any group including the inheritance group group explicit is it just a direct uh Group which user is part of has an admin role is explained it a if user has an admin role impersonation if user is impersonated and interactive session if the session is interactive and logged in if your user is logged in and if the user is part of any role we can select the role including the inheritance role and similarly if the user a role explicit if the user is part of a direct role instead of considering the uh inheritance role now let's see this in our instance or experience this feature in our instance so this is the new ACL record and now we go to the record and you can scroll down to see the new section security attribute condition here you have local or existing selecting on existing it's a mandatory of security attribute where you can select the security attribute and uh the role is admin condition is added here based on the security attribute select similarly if you have to select uh a local condition then we can select like groupes a specific attribute value or Roes or a specific role which would I or any other role which is specify to that rules and uh save this record to satisfy the condition and earlier we used to have required Ro data condition and script condition where all three should be evaluated to true then only the ACL will evaluate to True similarly now there is one more check which is security attribute condition which needs to be evaluated to Pro if the ACL needs to be satisfied so this is what about the new feature which is added in manure security attribute conditions thank [Music] you [Music]
