[Music] thank you my name is Hayden Webster and I'm a digital solution consultant here at servicenow specializing in strategic portfolio management today I want to walk you through some exciting new PPM features we have as part of our Vancouver release today I'll be covering data separation process Mining and a series of ux updates within PPM before we begin I want to share our Safe Harbor notice making purchasing decisions the first feature I want to cover today is data separation data separation allows your organization to implement hierarchical restrictions to sensitive data based on lenses a guided setup will take you through the configuration process step by step making it user-friendly regardless of skill level with data separation restriction to sensitive data is based on a lens hierarchy and its Leaf node the leaf node is the bottom level entity within that lens hierarchy for example if the lens being used is the organization the leaf node that bottom entity would be Department within that lens you can filter based on specific user groups so if you want to restrict payroll department data to payroll managers you can configure data separation to restrict data within payroll department lens to the payroll managers User Group you're able to apply data separation and thus restrict access to records related items planning consoles workbenches and reports ultimately with data separation your users are equipped with the data they need to do their jobs while protecting the security of that data by restricting access on a need to know user basis the next new feature I want to highlight is process mining for demand management process mining allows you to visualize your organization's processes it automatically detects opportunities for process Improvement so you can take a proactive approach to delivering value through lean efficient processes the process mining demand management content pack contains a pre-configured model that helps demand managers and process owners understand the effectiveness of their demand processes process mining for demand management is available as an add-on to the SPM Pro license think about how your organization approaches process Improvement right now chances are it's a time-consuming and expensive undertaking with process mining the mining engine is configured to automatically pull data from servicenow audit logs but the demand management content pack users have out of the box access to Common problem areas within demand management so that they can further accelerate process Improvement the summary and insights dashboard gives users information at their fingertips to review bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement as well as to understand how our demand process our company's demand process is performing against our goals and kpis within the analyst workbench you can also filter the data to understand how each component of the process impacts the larger process as a whole so you're interested in drilling into the process between demand intake and demand assessment within the analyst workbench you can filter the process map to show only those activities from demand intake to demand assessment this allows you to narrow your analysis to specific components within your process that need close attention the comparison tool allows you to compare prophecies as they evolve over time so you can understand what worked well and where there is room for improvement and with the notes tool collaboration is Made Easy you can tag users and communicate with your colleagues who are involved in process optimization efforts all without having to leave the analyst workbench interface with this insight into performance over time and the ease of collaboration users are empowered to help accelerate optimization of demand processes within their organization next up I want to share a series of ux enhancements for the Vancouver release within PPM with kanban personalization users can now change which Fields appear to them on the kanban card including the option to show only vertical lanes and not swim Lanes the kanban personalizations will also persist not just for the user but also if the user shares the portfolio this feature is available as part of the SPM Pro license next with enhanced filtering the filtering capability has been made more consistent now the filter button appears on All Views within the roadmap and prioritization tabs when a user sets a filter that filter will persist across views tabs and sessions our next feature the multiple condition Builder lets users apply more advanced filtering at the portfolio level when creating a portfolio plan users can add multiple and or conditions so that they can be more targeted in bringing in the right data to their portfolios within our hierarchy view for high level planning that hierarchy tab is now editable this means that users can now perform inline editing and use drag and drop to change dates within that hierarchy View parent entities are not shown in high level Planning by default but users can Now display them if desired by creating and enabling a specific property this feature is available as part of our SPM Pro license lastly we have a few miscellaneous ux updates that I want to share admins are now able to show empty entities that have no underlying work items users can also now categorize planning items based on must have should have could have or won't have values and this is really going to allow your product managers to better prioritize their planning items and finally when demands are converted into projects or epics lens relationships will be retained so they remain visible in portfolio plans this concludes our overview of PPM
