[Music] hey everyone my name is Pedro Romero and I'm a solution consultant here at service now and today it is my pleasure to introduce a new feature that's coming out with our Vancouver release surrounding how we can help your organization optimize how to track overlapping SAS software and even compare usage so we can start identifying where we can reduce spend before we dig in we do have a safe harbor notice as we might have some forward looking statements so feel free to pause this if you need to so in Vancouver we introduced our overlapping software view which was made really to enhance our customers ability to tackle their SAS application sprawl that way they can better understand how applications are actually being used in their organization and it's doing this by analyzing your SAS apps and then it can provide deep insights into where there's low usage and where there's areas to optimize spend and it's doing this by categorizing the different SAS apps that you have as an organization highlighting when there's an overlap and then again providing those usage insights to help you with some decision support in terms of what to clean up ultimately this is going to help our customers determine if their organization is getting value from their purchased SAS applications and it's going to again provide that decision support to clean up those cases where you are so now let's jump into a demo and let's take a look at our overlapping software view so in the software asset workspace we will now have this tab here for our overlapping usage and so at the bottom we'll have all the different C categories of software that we have as an organization you know for example I can come down I can drill into our project management SAS Solutions I can see the number of subscriptions that we have across these different applications and the total spend associated with each on top of that here I can look at the highest count in overlapping software so I can see project management we have three of them so we're pretty up there but of course graphic design we have six right so a lot of redundancy and we can even look at the same thing from a spend perspective so this is all valuable in helping rationalize what we own but we can take that a step further and really start to understand how usage plays into this so we're going to jump over here to our application feature usage and from this if I go back to project management here are those three different applications and with our SAS license management we have direct Integrations with these three vendors so we're able to pull in feature usage that we can analyze and understand to see how our users are actually leveraging this software we have insights into the overall usage percentage for each one so you can see here workfront is extremely low we have even the Departments with the least usage that we can start talking to and then over here we would have this spend over time as a trend right so with this we can start again rational anzing under our project Management Solutions what's actually necessary what isn't necessary where are we paying for subscriptions that we shouldn't we can go in look at our Reclamation candidates to see where we can reclaim licenses easily based on low usage and then if we wanted to we can work with other Solutions on the platform like our project management or project portfolio Management Solutions to create a demand to start thinking through consolidating these applications with that being said that's everything I planned on showing for today it was just a quick bite so hopefully you saw some value from this new overlapping software viiew feature that's coming in with that Vancouver and please please continue to check out these features that are coming out with Vancouver because I promise you this is not the only one and again my name is Pedro Romero and it was my pleasure to walk you guys through the overlapping softare review
