hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching and welcome to my house that's Justin's house and Justin's house is so great at the moment as you can see behind me um Labor Day weekend just happened here in the U.S and my PDI I was messing around on Saturday doing reviewing some Vancouver Futures and then didn't do anything on Sunday tried to access on Monday and this is what happened um it looks like my PDI has become IP restricted what this means is that I can only access the PDI from within servicenow's VPN is what I suspect I'm going to blur my IP address up there the topic basically it's showing my IP address is not authorized if I VPN from anywhere else in the world using expressvpn I still can't access the instance I don't work at service now so I can't go get on their VPN and try to fix this so this is a good test of my backup preparedness so I've been backing up my PDI both the applications and and the data pretty regularly so what I've done is I've created another PDI using a different email this one is actually still running so I don't want to stop it um the it's still running but the the the actual mid server can't access it either you can see right here before I shut it down it was getting a forbidden with code 403 and it was just retrying retrying over the past I guess probably 48 hours so I went ahead and killed my mid-server no need in that to continue to run while it couldn't connect so I've got a couple of challenges up ahead of me now um one usually Tuesdays which is today that I'm recording this on Tuesday morning is the day that I've run my servicenow store highlights uh crawlers to go find everything that's changed over the past week so that's priority number one is to get my new PDI and The Crawling app up and running which means I've got to get that mid-server pointed to a new instance so um you're not going to see uh regular content because I need to get this done and get back to Vancouver stuff but I'm gonna try to turn some videos out based on my restoration processes that I haven't tested yet before so this is a good test um you know take every situation every setback as a learning opportunity and in this case um I maybe will make sure that my IP address is authorized or some an IP range that I might be in and have figured out some way to get back into an instance that's been IP restricted but that's the update from Justin's house and I know this video isn't helpful but just so you know what's going on with the channel while I work through this I will have otterly owls and podcasts released on schedule because that's not in my PDI and then we'll see what happens for Thursday and Friday anyways thank you for watching and stay tuned for exciting servicenow PDI restoration videos from Justin in Justin's house thanks talk soon [Music] thank you
