[E11] You & I Builder Live! Menu Generating Operations Program Widget (Hacktoberfest 2023 Part 1)

Import · Aug 31, 2023 · video

do do you put on our cameras [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] I knew I was going to get used against me Hello everybody welcome to you and I Builder live the show where our intern is mean to me um today we're gonna have a very special event um it is going to be our hacktoberfest episode our inaugural hacktoberfest episode Brad's rocking his T-shirt we're going to be walking y'all through how you can collaborate and contribute to our repositories what it all means what it even is and also I'm gonna get to show off something really cool that jesslyn Smith and I worked on uh for last year's knowledge so Brad are you excited for today's episode I'm excited for today's episode yeah I wouldn't say I'm prepared but I'd say I'm excited so yeah how many hacked over fests have you done the first one I was really a part of was 2020. my first year as a Dev advocate so I remember the math is does that make three I don't know what year it is I think it's like it's uh there's a coveted calendar I think and it's like March 1 378th of 2020. so today um I'm gonna uh Brad's gonna share a screen and we're gonna go over how to contribute first I'm going to give you guys a little bit of background about this uh repository I'm gonna I'm I'm almost there oh oh he's got out awesome can we say uh before you get into that if you really want to know more about Oktoberfest overall and how the dev program is going to interact with it this year uh there's a live coding happy hour tomorrow where they're gonna get into that so this uh episode is really specific to a couple of next experience projects it's really a small part of the overall hacktoberfest that servicenow is participating in thank you Brad I completely forgot about that but that's something we used to be doing after but this is just the way that the shows fall yep they should have gone on Wednesday you know Wednesday it's a great [Laughter] so so what's important is that I believe they're gonna go over a more like uh uh in-depth guide on GitHub and all of that and how contributing Works uh we're gonna very specifically show you how to contribute to our repos because they are somewhat slightly complex this year um now to give y'all a little bit of background about the are we are we good Brad yeah okay cool cool so if you could scroll down a little bit to the first image that pops up a little bit more thanks I worked hard here no keep going to the first image Oh I thought you meant the banner so this is the menu generator organizer picker widget uh I think I've spelled that but anyways this is a mock-up of what my dream is for this application to become and as a little bit of background you'll read it in the readme um in UI Builder you can create these things called portal experiences no they're not meant to replace angular portals right now we have a great um we have a great article on this that I linked in the readme's uh but right now you can create the portal experiences and these portal experiences come with menus and the way that you configure the menus is through Json and I wanted to make a couple of um of portal experiences last year and when I saw the Json I decided to rope in my good friend and spend hundreds of hours building a solution like any good developer does for a problem that isn't really needing to be solved but along the way we learned to react we learned um how servicenow customer uh now CLI custom components work and that's what these uh repos are about we did a presentation on these in knowledge 23 um and we talked about our process and all of that and we said we would post the code online so there I finally did it it's online I fulfilled my promise so Brad's gonna go through and uh walk us through how you would go about uh installing the how you would go about editing the actual component the component is pictured on the right it's just those menus um and then the rest of the page has a lot of other functionality as well like the events and whatnot so that's why there's two repositories the most important thing to note is that in the uh you can show the component repository please oh this one yep so here oh my gosh Earl so here um if you stay up at the top and this is all explained in the um in the contributing and in the readme please make sure you read those but basically this repository where it says custom component has the source code of the component that you can look through and learn how to build a component yourself in order to install it in your instance you're going to need to go to the releases section of this um of this repository if you scroll up just a little bit it's going to be on the top right corner and there's going to be the update set for the compiled custom components if you want to try this out in your instance you're going to need the repository that we were just in for the page installed through app repo and then this update set installed so where do you want to start Brad uh let's start I think with the custom components I don't know where well I guess let's start with let's start in the instance uh with the uh with the app then we can deploy the component to the instance SSM awesome sounds good to me all right so I have while Gabby was talking I forked uh both of these repos uh I'm not signed in in this browser so I had to do it in a different one but I forked the repos and so let's uh let's go ahead and get into this instance and there's there's a very important question in the chat that might change everybody's opinion of you Brad no pressure yeah I actually am a live mode person I know it's kind of embarrassing but I just I really love lots of Windows and lots of light everywhere I I don't like it when it's dark so there you go I can't even blame you because I also do light mode because I've noticed that my eyes kind of go blurry with dark mode and it turns out it's in a stigma to something and I had no idea it's weird I don't uh I don't even have an excuse like that it's a personality where are you right now so I open studio just because it came up before app engine Studio or I selected it first so I have the uh this is my forked uh repo so I forked the repo I can tell it's mine because this is my GitHub name uh so I'm gonna pull it into an instance that I have from git here and here we go so I am cloning the repo into the instance the page repo right right oh yes okay awesome I think it would have given me an error already I know this is riveting um it's still still thrilling all right um which one is it it's many generating operations program widget experience page you have to say the whole thing every time what a great I'll do it once menu generating operations program widget experience page wow all right um so I'm gonna kill studio and let's look at this thing in UI Builder wait we first need to load the custom component well I wanted I just wanted to look at the what we got right oh okay before we deploy the custom component to it oh you don't want to grab the update site you want to grab the app you want to make it um isn't it already in the repo yeah it's already deployed in the update set so the way that we've organized it in the way that you're going to see it in the contributing file it says to install the update sets so that way the default version of the page is a working version and you're able to use that to compare with the behavior of your modifications uh okay so the release is under under uh there on the on the right I'm pointing with my finger like you can see that right there so that's the update sets and then we're telling people to make a variant of the original page and put their compiled component in that variant is the original page in this uh is it only in the update set or is it also here so the original page comes from there but the component comes from the update set okay so which I just want to look at it before we add a component to it which page so you're good to go which page is it jessalyn I don't know what page is it um can you see modified date yeah they're all the same they're all the same it's the menu Builder experience oh oh it's a different experience menu generating operations wait is this the right is that the right experience many yeah I think check and see if there's a different experience all right well you know what we can do is we can go back to the readme if I go back there we go let's see if it tells us the readme won't tell you I forgot to add this to the readme okay it's the menu Builder experience it's going really well I'm so sorry I'll make sure to I'm writing that down right now to add it to the to the list of these issues so nobody else has to and don't ever uh don't ever accuse us of making these sessions planned [Laughter] but yes uh David just noticed um I want some an issue that takes effort I mean do as I say not as I do anyways they even noticed my grand design here is that I um because originally this was just supposed to be for um for us telling our story at Creator con we weren't originally going to deploy this as a legit thing so I named it after myself and there's a jessalyn generator which is what generates the Json in the code so yes David it was a very ham-fisted attempt of getting my um my name in there all right so this is what the page looks like now we'll use this handy little preview tool look at that um what is this link to oh oh it does thanks so it's already there it looks like no it's missing oh it's just a card based container all right so let's go ahead ideally what this what that card based container does is that it pulls from your instance any menus that you have created so you can edit them from here as well and then you can save the changes to them so as we make new menus you'll see that populate there all right so let's find this here okay and then is this it I get that yeah okay and then we'll go ahead and load this update set in it feels weird doing both update sets and Source control for the same project but I don't know how else I could have done it we can only commit one scope per repo right uh uh yeah there's a way around it all right let's go ahead and preview this see if there's any errors I believe there are no errors I know I have no such thing that's all jesslyn thank you for uh doing Live tech support jessalyn you're the best so should we have this this should show up on the page yes uh but also if you go back to the to the unified navigation View um click on all and this is part of the instructions uh you can type in their menu or hackathon type in hackathon uh sorry hacktoberfest I keep doing that right so now if you click there you'll be able to go directly to the menu Builder workspace experience page and from here you can also go directly to the UI Builder page there so there it is is it this what we already had click on create new menu and there it is okay so this is part of the things that we need help with right now there's not a button to go back to the landing page so we're kind of stuck here but now it's loaded so if you click on action there it is it adds an action and you can also add a menu these are your top level menus and actions and if you click on the plus sign on the very right that's where you can add any sub items to it so we added an assigns next action and menu yeah there's a lot we were kind of there's something to start from in the repo or was there already a thing where we could have done that directly oh you did though you that was the first link you clicked oh yeah it just happened I had closed out of that one there you go I figured only two repos with my initials in it was enough you know I didn't want to have a third Earl so jessalyn generator is what we just added or menu Builder container wasn't this Mini Builder it's the menu Builder that's what we just added all right so where does this show up if we uh where's my visibility it is showing up it's it's the create new menu button I think isn't it uh no it's hidden oh false okay yeah I don't know so it's this thing I think I might have already been there that's all right no it's hidden uh yeah I guess when you hit the button it unhides it probably oh create a new menu what was that start selection all right okay so we should do the component now huh yep and when you work uh this is part of the of the instructions when you go to work on this on your own you're going to want to make a variant of that page in order to test your own menu out um we'll do that we'll do that we'll deploy the component and then make our own variant all right I think I need a refresh so listen it was it was good enough to show off a Creator con it was finished enough at that point like we we could talk about about uh our experience and the trials and tribulations we went through just well enough even if it wasn't completely finished I'm um I am excited to see uh what people end up making of it um as you start while Brad's uh downloading it as you guys start uh to work on it there's gonna be a bunch of issues added before hacktoberfest officially begins um where we basically have a bunch of ideas for the app that we never ended up being able to um implement uh so that way you guys have a starting point if you want to contribute to the component or to the page um we are also going to have a in Brad feel free to let me know when you're ready yeah hold on I have the wrong uh folder open you're good so we also are going to have a third repository it's not ready yet um and it is going to be a workspace that you can contribute to and contributing to that one is similar to how you're going to contribute to the page you just create your variant and make changes there and make sure you don't work on other people's variants so now Brad has downloaded the code locally on his computer and in the instructions it's going to tell you that there's three places or there's three files that you need to change the some data inside of in order to begin working on it and why is that Brad uh it's because hold on let's let's look at the component first and then talk about it as we change okey dokey [Music] um so I have the CLI installed I pulled the component down uh and so let's go ahead and test it what just happened oh do I need to I I should have done this before yeah now we can talk about it um uh so uh when you're using the uh the CLI uh it connects to a um you know you can connect to your instances and when you create a new component through the CLI uh it will get a scope name uh that should match your instance so every instance has a company code so if you are um if you are uh you know using a developer instance it'll be X underscore you know one two three four five uh and then whatever your app scope is and so the main thing is that is that the scope of your component has to match the scope of your instance in order to deploy it um and to answer a couple of questions in chat what Brad just did is um so first uh me tube asks is a CLI tool easier to install and configure now since a year ago and I believe the main difference is that now there's plenty of documentation that we link to from the repo and from the install instructions to help you install it and have an easier time about it um what are your takes on that Brad yeah I agree with that I would say also the newest uh the newest version the CLI supports a better version of node we've fixed a few errors um so it should be a little easier to install now we're you know we're we are committed to making it better as well generally the biggest problem with installing the CLI is your node version so for the most part once people get that figured out uh it it ends up getting installed okay um and what did you just do Brad where's what's all this stuff that's happening I did an npm install uh and so it's pulling down all the dependencies and everything uh for our component hopefully it's hopefully it's done soon um so what we're gonna do there we go yeah so now let's see if we can open our component it looks like it's gonna work and what does opening do yeah so right now we are uh I ran a develop command uh through the CLI uh and so it is compiling and giving us a version of the components uh do we get an error yeah uh no we're good uh so it's giving us a version of the component that's running locally that will be able to uh to look at here in a minute or did it just give us an error it seems so good I think we're getting there so I opened in my other browser I don't think it's done rendering but and can you explain localhost no okay let me Google it real quick I mean it's the local server running the component for you but no I don't know any any sort of technical details around that this is not my normal world that I planned it's not any of our normal I know localhost um from all the travel knowledge that I've learned while uh Googling trying to fix stuff and doing uh web development basically it's imagine it's um it's a it's in a local environment where you're running your web application and it just happens to be that uh that's the URL for it um and that's what we're currently setting up by using the develop command it's setting us up a local instance uh not a local instance a local environment for us to be able to preview and work with our components before we deploy it um hang on Greg has a good explanation you're locally hosting a server on your machine and running the components of said server thank you Greg that's a smart way of saying it so look now we have stuff data all right so this is the current version of this component uh running locally here so obviously uh you know this is um this is you know not connected to our UI Builder page or anything like that so any you know data resources aren't going to be showing up here um I'm actually not sure if this is a connected component or a presentational component um but uh so we can kind of see what's happening with the component here I'm sure I can like add things maybe to some Network some things work external link internal link we can kind of see something but you have to click on the expanding yeah yeah I clicked on both of these is it added yeah so I don't know why the pop menus aren't working those should be adding more that's okay we they don't have to work all the way for our purposes here um so we know this works we sort of at least so we can we can now go ahead and deploy this to the instance but first we have to do some things um so again uh one of the one of the dependencies we have is that the scope of our component has to match the scope of the instance and that creates a problem when we're trying to share components uh like uncompiled components to work on that's not a super common thing uh in you know servicenow development work um sharing things outside of you know outside of your company uh your instances once it's compiled and deployed to the instance at that point you can absolutely install it in other instances um but uh but for now we'll have to uh change some things so I'm going to start by taking a look at our instructions here uh go up to the very first paragraph this is about to move because Earl told me that it belongs in the readme not contributing my bad uh but this is where the installation guidelines are you're going to want to click the link going to making changes to the component under content or you can scroll down so we go through installing installing the CLI and now here's where we outline the requirements and it's step three for making changes to the components all right so there's a couple of places where we have to change scope names and for me it is luckily very easy here um but we've got a few places in now ui.json um and then package.json so let's start in now UI do we have to replace all these I guess part of this is uh this is also something um so what we're providing is the base Court this this uh component and you install it you're gonna have two components with the exact same name so part of the instructions is for people to go in and change the name of the component to something different from the one that's already deployed so it's easier for them to differentiate so line 38 and 55. we have a name so this is going to be called Brad Smith Brad menu Builder makes me feel less bad about my uh my throwing my initials everywhere this is totally the same thing say that the other was package.json and this is where we're just changing names all right let's go two and nine that's not a good name for an application Earl bearded reality and Delight I'm sure we can come up with better Brad nice I don't know and then the last one is in the component itself uh there is a place where we need to change it and that is nope here there's so many index.js but yep it's that one and jessalyn went in and did an awesome job of commenting as much as she humanly could so you've got a lot of great info in there I like it all right so we should be able to deploy this now right well let's see what else we have here uh oh deploy all right and we give you guys the commands to run at every step so you don't have to be like Brad and have it memorized I mean there's so many like three commands listen three is too much to ask of me one of the cool things about this deploy command now or I guess it's a thing that we fixed is that uh previous to the Vancouver version of the CLI uh when you did a deploy you had to do a force and it would delete the component and recreate it and now when you do a deploy it doesn't upsert which is kind of nice I'm already connected to my instance here so I should be uh should be deploying to that instance and this won't make an update set this will not make an update set this is going to deploy the component directly to the instance that I'm connected to and so we can we can check the instance that I'm connected to in a minute uh hopefully there's no deployers this is the moment of truth I need a jinx it it did not work it does not like my instance version instance version could not be validated but it did create a scope the scope has already taken oh you know what yeah yeah sorry no I changed the scope but uh yeah so we have a weird problem internally at servicenow because this excess and C scope is pretty common everyone uses it and so I believe this menu V1 this is probably too common a name uh so we're gonna go back and we're going to change the scope to something even more Uncommon or the scope name just throw your initials in there what I'm gonna put my whole name yeah your whole name could you imagine someone's already created a brad Tilton scope how creeped out would you be uh wait menu I agree me too and that's exactly what this show is for it's not for the stuff to work it's not a demo it's a real life development with all the suffering that comes along with it but it's good because we've got a point of escalation right here it's Brad we've got the sneeze I don't know about that um so then you what's my scope limitation I know Andrew's on here is it 18 characters somebody tell me how many characters can I put in a scope name wow thanks Earl that's helpful 18 or 16. I guess I could count them for 2016. anyway so it shortened my scope for me and added a one characters okay all right so I want to make sure when we change it that I change the first few of them all right we've we've played around with this enough so package.json the name um so I need where's the scope change in here did we change the scope in the package now I'm all confused what do we do now ui.json that's where we so we change the scope it's at the very top I agree yeah yeah um let's go all right I'll just make it easy Andrew dropping the knowledge it's 18 and it includes the vendor code I knew he would know isn't that like some some some bad show that I something about knowing things it's like some reference I hear it's like a really bad show from an awful series um all right there we go one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen is that right well let's see we're gonna save everything I'm gonna try this again that's exactly right Deborah thank you that is exactly what I hope to show with my content at least like Brad and Andrew and Paige and Earl have all seen me like stumble around for the past five six years and uh what they've taught me and what I want to help other people learn too is that it's all messy nobody knows everything and if somebody tells you they know everything they're lying it's it's a lie and you can have fun while messing up there we go uh oh hey here we go oh it hasn't stopped us it's working I don't know why it has the validated oh you know I think I do know why that's there we took out the instance check from the CLI and I guess there is something somewhere that's still expecting the instance check and it's spitting an error so I'm gonna we're gonna cut out this little thing and send it to the product too all right um it looks like that worked so let's go to uib and we're just gonna reopen UI Builder overall oh there we go we'll reopen the page and now we should be able to so before I even try to add add to this page I'm going to follow the hacktoberfest rules I'm going to duplicate this variant uh into a new variant and we're going to stay on theme and rename it everything after me so Brian um in the instructions I've got it listed out how you can find out your uh your vendor ID scope name it's going to be a bunch of numbers if you're using a PDI but it's in a system property that you can look up from the instructions it's not your instance name yeah it would be X underscore and generally companies uh vendor codes are kind of match the you know the name of your company a little bit so like X underscore snc is servicenow.com but pdis are just numbers right pdis are just numbers yep on five or six okay characters oh X underscore fibers all right so let's uh add this component in should be near the beginning no did you actually rename it I did rename it to well I think I did menu yeah there may be somewhere that we didn't rename no I think that's the one that's already there right yeah that's the one all right so let's look so in UI Builder world uh everything is a macro opponent a page is a macrophone and a component is a macroponent and so I went to the CIS ux Mac component table we've got uh almost 24 or 2400 entries in there and so we're going to search menu components ah so it is there no Brad's menu Builder oh that's it you know what I wonder if I because I put an apostrophe in the display name what if it doesn't show up in the uh in the toolbox no that could be super fun can you remove it from this let's see hey we're running into all the problems so nobody else has to this is great why are we not opening um rats menu Builder that's all I mean let's see if it works all right it really bugs me that there's no apostrophe now but that's all right so I'm gonna do a hard refresh I know Greg when I named it I was like you know the kind of grammar nerd in me really needs the apostrophe but I don't the developer person in me doesn't love it being there they don't always agree on stuff nope um well let's try redeploying it the scope got built yeah so I think it may be um it may be that the component tray just can't handle like special characters and the display names as it's showing them that seems bad but hopefully that's not actually the case but let's let's rename it without the apostrophe and uh redeploy it and see if that works it'll also let us show redeploying a component because it is supposed to do an upsert now and how would we tell the difference between it doing an upsert and it deleting I believe it's been a while since I've messed with the older version uh but I believe if we did a regular deploy and the component already exists it's going to tell us hey this component already exists so then we have to do a force and if you do a force it deletes it and redeploys it and so we actually probably wouldn't know uh oh it is deleting things we actually probably wouldn't know because it's not already on a page but if it was already on a page and there was some stuff associated with it it can kind of mess with things this is just easier because you don't have to know you don't have to always do a force although it did just tell us it was deleting things but that again could be just messaging all right so let's do another hard refresh here you know what I'm glad that at least it's only the 28th because that gives me how many days to make sure this works that's right we have some more days is it I got three whole days oh and are you sure you changed it in all the right places I only put the uh I think I only put it in the one spot and the name and the now you I just never package.json because didn't you replace a lot of Scopes did you update I did not have so I draw the line at putting in a special character and a scope name um right it was only in the name of the component there Maybe so I am we're gonna do a cash that do in a minute but um I just want to make sure there's nothing that jumps out at me in the three files we looked at I mean I think it would have not deployed if we did anything way wrong all right there we go let's let's we're going to clear the cache and then log out and log back in because that was a fun suggestion as well when in doubt cash dot do except on prod and a subpride [Laughter] all right we did that and then for good measure Ben's got a good um good suggestion maybe we just see booted we this instance actually was rebooted uh uh Monday so it's fairly fresh oh no he made a looping version do do he faded it out I noticed that Earl has so much on me that he could just release Into the Wild Okay so here we go the background for that well uh Brad looks no I'm sure I'm sure somebody like one of our developers could tell me what was wrong very quickly but Let's uh let's do a comparison real quick sorry I keep going I catch you off no you're good um you're actually saying stuff relevant to what we are trying to do so you're good no uh for those of you who weren't here last time um our intern Earl who runs the show in the background um wasn't here uh there there he is um he wasn't here in in we kind of didn't practice so we didn't know how to turn on the audio and we barely knew how to turn on the intro so I decided to improvise I like that you kept saying we um but yeah it was I've run this show before but it was like a year and a half ago all right so properties let's see if there's anything different so Dennis I think at this point maybe two years ago three years ago in live coding happy hour um women now did a lady coding happy hour takeover where Earl I joked about him being our intern him and Brad being our interns because it was supposed to be lady coding happy hour so that's where that joke comes from um all right let's try I want to try one other thing before we give up and I have to call a friend um phone a friend on a friend is what it's called me tubes and OG that was the Brad till toon episode that's right all right let's see if I can add this to some other random page just in case it's that specific page uh uh bugs me this this is really I feel I I mean this with no disrespect Brad but can we triple check all the copy pasting that we were supposed to do sure I keep if you keep saying no but I feel like no that's a good call so there were six total places we were supposed to change hey let's do this uh oh awesome right all right so we start with now UI dot Json we had line two we both renamed it and changed uh the code here so the I mean it's possible that this naming is the problem could it be maybe too long it could be let's I don't know if this is going to totally mess up since it's already been deployed I don't know that you're let's actually not do this and we'll test this a different way okay um so there's that one line 38 was that's where we removed the apostrophe and then 55 was the scope name isn't the scope name different the scope name so the component name and the scope name do not have to match because the scope name can only be 18 characters thanks Ben uh then we've got package.json and as a former engineer at servicenow so he he very well could have blacklisted my name um what else do we have uh line two is that supposed to match you know that's a great question let's make that so an important name well the component name is going to have the Xs and C in front of it which I don't think well I think this is actually the component name but yeah so because we just changed yeah never mind let's see the h23 right in the instructions and then the last one is line 26 here no I'm playing 26. oh after I added a couple of comments I messed up the line numbers my bad oh okay uh I I am writing that down thank you Brad X Brad excellent so I think this probably needs to match this oh that was wrong yeah can't uh can't do that there we go you did it I'm so sorry score all right we're back in business we're gonna run a little bit late um or overtime but by gosh we can do this I just got too excited about putting my name uh early in the in the scope name it's going to be really funny when this doesn't fix it honestly like I am I'm terrified and Earl's gonna play the song again or that it's not gonna work I think I'm more scared of the song than it not working I should have known he was going to use it against me I'm surprised he didn't get the one from the end of the episode where I started going to beat boxing and like really going into the dun dun oh there he goes why did you say that he has the whole audio [Laughter] all right so we were just doing a uib refresh this time and now well this is a different page but let's see let's see if it's there uh no art comes before you ouch type menu I don't believe you I don't believe you all right so let's do our uh let's do our cash flow doing everything again all right and then and it looks like I take back the solve the celebratory dancing I did I know well I'll just uh we can I can build it just get a new version of this component and try it again and it probably has to do with the number of times that we and correctly did things so that I incorrectly did things uh Andrew suggests a force uninstall you know that's not a bad idea I want to see this through to the end Brad oh I'm gonna have to reload anyway all right this is another way we can look that didn't work let's try uh uh what did you just type it was kind of covered up I did a deploy Force which should delete uh and redeploy it but I don't know if that changed it's possible we changed that um with the new upsert so we may have to may have to do some stuff on the back end and manually delete things so there it goes goodbye everything well I think it did this it's always been telling us it's doing it but I see hacked over a page is he Oktoberfest doesn't tell you how to spell simplest kind of love you Paige all right all right we'll figure it out and we'll update I I can't do this I need him please no I can't oh well everybody thank you so much for joining us um [Laughter] so um all jokes aside we will figure this out um and I will be updating the readme with any required information so don't try this until you're back with the worst camera oh that wasn't Earl making you go away for face no my my camera died uh right uh and it also has the microphone in it oh no oh Rage Quit would have been perfect it would have been great um so like I was saying uh don't try this at home until October 1st when hackathon officially be uh Oktoberfest officially begins because you won't get any credit towards Oktoberfest or the awesome prices that Earl has uh organized for uh there's more information on that in the main repository um that we've got linked from the readme um and next time we're going to be here is going to be I need to look at my calendar October 12th uh-huh are you running solo that time or is the next time I can't remember I can't remember sure gonna fly out one of those so next time we're gonna be here is October 12th I don't know what we're going to be doing but I do know um I think we should do like a pull request review or something like that that would be fun but on the 27th is going to be our next hacktoberfest uh episode which is where we will look at everybody's contributions and see what ended up becoming of our repos um any last words Brad uh no no I wish we were I wish we were successful and now I'm gonna spend many waking hours trying to figure out what went wrong but yeah but this is the reality of development like not everything goes perfect and sometimes you just need to take a step back and then you'll find the solution tomorrow um thank you all so very much for watching and hanging out with us and having fun with us it was great to see some of y'all back in the chat and I hope you all have a good one now get ready because I'm sure there we go thank you laughs [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] do do
