Convert a REST Message Function into a REST Step | Now Platform® Utah Release
foreign to show you a nice new feature from integration hub so first let me set the scene I've created a rest message in the back end and I have a rest message function set up with it and so this is the old way to do a rest message if you will outside of flow designer in servicenow and what service now is done inside of flow designers added a way for you to convert all of these suppressed messages into a rest step and flow designer so let me jump over to flow designer and you'll see here I'm going to create an action and just give it a test name and when I come over here to add a rest step and now I have in the integration starter pack here when I add the rest step you'll see under build request I have three options and previous versions you just had the manually build your request or from an open API specification here you see the third from rest message option so if I click that it gives me the option to choose a rest message from the back end you'll see here's the rest message we were just looking at if I choose that I can then choose a function I only have the one for the create and once I do that it's going to import as much as it can from that rust message function into my action here so I'll click that gives me a nice summary tells me that it's imported a post request there was a header I didn't have any query parameters and it did find authentication but it's telling me I need to create one for myself because it uses connection and credential aliases as opposed to just the authentication profile so that's all good I'm going to click configure step and here you'll see my base URL has been filled out I pulled that from my breast message it's pulled the HTTP method it's pulled the header if I had more or if I had query parameters those would also show up here and it's also pulled the content that I had just a simple Json object here so just a quick simple little functionality that serves now is added with the Utah release that is really cool it really speeds things up when you want to transfer from the old way of doing things into a into a float thanks for the time appreciate it [Music]
