[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching and welcome to my house that's Justin's house it's time for a special edition of servicenow store highlights that's right it's the Vancouver edition and we're off our weekly schedule today is August the 7th 2023 and I had to do a special one because servicenow released the Early Access to Vancouver and what that means in the servicenow store is that they've released all the applications in the store that are related to Vancouver not all of them some not trickle out until General availability but most of them get released with Early Access so you can see here on my screen last week or last Friday gosh it's not even been three days we had 56 new or updated applications uh for the Thursday before Friday's episode released 595 applications just from servicenow were released or updated on the servicenow store I'm going to give you the stats in a second and I'm already building out next Friday's episode uh with some stuff that got caught up in the Thursday update so let's take a look at this week's episode um I know I'm in my old user interface that's because my PDI was upgraded to Vancouver and two big things are broken for me in Vancouver may want you may want to hold off on upgrading my workspace is broken I can't open it anymore and my flow designer won't open any flows any subflows whether they're mine or out of the box so lots of issues in my PDI this time around but that's what I'm doing this for is to try out the new stuff and sometimes the new stuff don't work so great so I'm in the old UI and you've probably been reading it behind me but let's just walk through it 59 new applications from servicenows in the servicenow store so disservice now um 212 highlights I'll talk about that in a second here 108 compatibility updates 108 minor updates and 108 fixes I have no idea I just noticed this and I've been going through these all weekend that 100 800 800 a I know that looks totally improbable and unreal but I'm telling you I've been through every or all 595 in fact I've been through more than 595 it started off at like 650 or something like that and I whittled it down by getting rid of the stuff that didn't apply but let's talk about how I categorize this new releases are obvious I didn't want to weren't there before and now I see them highlights were they were big things big changes in the release and uh or there were lots and lots of fixes and so I Mark those as a highlight compatibility updates I kind of gave service now a bone now I have to say the release notes this time around were way way better than in the May update where I just got nothing for most of it but there still were a lot of nothings not by comparison in May and so what I said is okay these are Vancouver compatibility updates so 100 native the things I went through um either it said no changes this was just an upgrade or update to a version for Vancouver or it was blank or repeated the same release notes and instead of doing a release notes fail I'm like well obviously this is to be compatible with Vancouver and a lot of the way a service now does their apps there's like a parent app and there's child or supporting apps and so I threw a blown over service now it's okay 108 of these are compatibility updates and then minor updates um those were like onesie 2z or just a couple of things or a change in a fix I put as minor updates or it says minor release in the release notes and fixes were fixes they were just basically small things so you can see in addition to new functionality there was actually a lot of Maintenance stuff going on what I've got here on the screen down below is just the new releases now remember there's 59 of them um let's just talk through them I'm not going to try to even open all these because that would be the longest SSH episode ever in time um so let's just talk about them uh components a draggable list access analyzer account lifecycle events Advanced recommendation action for recommended actions for itsm that actually looks pretty cool because recommended actions are something that shows up in the service operations workspace and kind of lets your um your agents have maybe recommendations on what to do with something so this is Advanced recommendation actions for itsm app provides contextual and actional real-time recommendations for service operations workspace along with workspace configs that show recommendations in the contextual side panel and form Fields so I'm looking forward to playing with that one let's see what I'll take out here AI Ops dashboards and experience an Amazon sqs spoke I don't know if you saw the developer Vancouver announcement but there was a couple new spokes released in fact there's a Spoke Builder I think we might get to here asset security posture management attribute pack I don't even know what that is let's click on attribute pack is a collection of attributes that can be Associated to a subset of the CI um wow but within the network inventory application all right so this is telecom Network inventory which is actually a cool app if you ever had to keep track of stuff in the Telecom area but let's keep going CDM file uploader it sounds like healthcare Life Sciences or maybe Finance data model for s-bomb devops vulnerability Integrations document service framework for Google's Drive spoke EGD activities and EGD core I have no idea what EGD core is so let's take a let's scroll back down I clicked on the wrong thing sorry about that everybody and we'll actually open the app in the servicenow store what is EGD core it is enable employees and managers to identify track and take control of their career growth and development Journey so employee growth and development EGD core so that's what's new that's a new app um exploit experience VA components or virtual agent Enterprise portfolio Equifax spoke geomap component I was interested in this one because I just did a Geo map data visualization video and now they go and release the geomap component something you use in UI Builder but it's for uh putting stuff on Google Map or Google Maps so I'm actually interested in playing with that one because I do have my Vancouver webcams um still in my instance uh once my instance settles down a bit and everything starts working again GRC compliance case management Advanced and full access employee user I Advantage spoke inventory number management investment funding and legal counsel Center and I was like hey there already is a legal counsel Center but it was in that kind of old agent workspace kind of Legacy workspace so what they've done is they haven't LED uh legal counsel Center classic and now this new legal counsel center that is in the full next experience or a new workspace if you will so excited to get my hands on and play with that one make you guys a video hopefully licensing engine managed skills configurable page Microsoft Azure devops pipeline spoke notified UI components for configurable workspaces operational technology change management process automation designer that would have me puzzled version 24 why is that a new release I think what they did is it moved it into the store so now it's a Store App instead of being a platform plug-in that you enable without going to the store so I think the process automation or pad is not anything new you can see there's version 24. just no version history which signals to me that I think this is new to the store Plus in my database it just got discovered on August 4th which was last Friday all right moving right along here after process automation designer process mining content pack for SPM quick filter component sap ECC RFC spoke version 2.0 plus a dependency file s-bomb core s-bomb Response Security posture control core service operations workspace admin Center and there's an itsm admin Center I was wondering what the heck this was and clicked on it it's basically a place for admins to come in and do some light configuration for these configurable workspaces like service operations workspace so this one lets you do things like set greetings overview announcements and upcoming so I thought that was pretty cool I want to play with that one here here are some more components in UI Builders so component Builder export email composer insights panel circuit map probably Telecom networkinventory SN docs forecast config quick filter popover there's the spoke generator that I heard about in the tech now or the developer developer video or webinar I guess that was last week guided experience for building a new spoke I definitely want to play with that because I've run across open API stuff all the time it'd be nice if we were able to build spokes automatically sustainable it's system events and jobs dashboard tax and task intelligence for itsm technology core third-party risk due diligence vulnerability emergency response vulnerability response integration with agile management also with atlassian jira web fact art web artifact Builder Word document templates and workplace connectors so that is the 59 new releases these will be up on my blog so if you're one wondering what those are and you want to go through them and click on them that'll all be up there on the blog so look for that post at justin.house you can just type to justin.house in your web browser and all this will be up here but here's the highlights you can see all of its servicenow stuff I'm not going to try to read all this stuff to you but it's pretty much almost I can't guarantee it's every application they have in the servicenow store but a lot a lot of stuff was updated now I when I say I highlighted it is because there's significant changes now I'm probably not going to go through all of these apps in the app store because servicenow does a fairly decent job of updating the release notes kind of drawing my attention to what's new but you never know I might find something on here and decide to show it we're now in the GRC section of the highlights and we're going to go out to second page to hit the HR stuff for the second 200 or the second 100 here so scrolling down here's HR incident legal Microsoft stuff mobile performance analytics playbooks portfolio planning lots of stuff going on in the portfolio planning side I saw proactive prompts proactive triggers procurements qualis and Rapid 7 for secops uh RPA Hub of course an RPA plug-in bundle um security of law the service graph connectors I know there's only three listed here but there were a lot of updates uh and a lot of fixes or compatibility updates service operations workspace core I think the express list used to be an innovation lab application where they've now made it generally available so that means it's supported so you may want to start looking at that one I may cover it more here on the channel just scrolling down so you can see all the rest of this gobs and gobs and gobs of updates from the servicenow store team on all these servicenow Store applications so that's the highlights let's go ahead and take a look at the minor updates um I think we've got 108 of these and you can see some components devops stuff again minor minor updates more GRC flow diagramming for one guy decisions health and safety Incident Management itsm legal mobile again notify stuff performance analytics stuff process automation stuff product catalog roadmap Builder UI components service requests shift planning gosh it just goes on lots of vulnerability response updates I saw on this one let's go for the last eight there Workforce optimization lots of updates there and lots of updates on the workplace side of things so that's minor updates and let's end with the we've already done new releases uh fixes was the other one that's right he fixes so here's all the 108 uh minor fixes um again just starting from A to Z you can see all the different things so man I I say if you haven't already updated your PDI to look at Early Access the second thing you're going to do after you do that is go hit applications and start updating them because my PBI has a lot of stuff installed because I demo a lot of things and there are 300 applications that needed updating and I think I'm down to 50 left after updating them all again trying to clear up problems I'm seeing within here's all those components these are either dataviz components or UI Builder components but you can see all that stuff there let's go for that last eight and there's the last of it there some new spokes some updates to Spokes stuff like that so um you know just lots and lots of stuff you could see there six or 595 applications just last Thursday August 3rd updated in the servicenow store this is a one-off video to show you Vancouver so we don't disrupt our weekly cycle of Friday updates of what came out in the servicenow store I hope you found this helpful if you
