[Music] in this video we'll explain how servicenow access analyzer can provide instance access visibility to improve your security posture identity governance risk management and help you achieve your compliance goals the access Analyzer application helps customers gain visibility and understand access permissions to resources on the servicenow platform we'll show you an example of how to use the tool to evaluate access permissions as an administrator you'll want to understand the access permissions users are granted for incident tables and Records so let's see how you can do that in our example we are going to show how to analyze by user but you also have the option to analyze by group or role we select the ITIL user and then the incident table we add a description to notate what we want to analyze and start our analysis now we are able to see and evaluate all the different access controls applied to this user for the incident table the operation and overall access columns display the specific operation types as they apply to the incident table and the evaluation of overall access the export capability allows you to either download or email a report we can click on one of the blocked operations to get visibility into what the required ACL role is for that operation this tells us that the ACL role required to be able to delete is the itel admin which is why this operation is blocked for the ITIL user we click on the access control we can learn more about its details and add the necessary role to the existing user this is just one example of how access analyzer gives us visibility into access permissions to different user types for more information see our product documentation or knowledge base or ask a question in the servicenow community foreign [Music]
