ServiceNow YouTube Channels - Saturday Shoutout | TehcZavier
hello and welcome to another video my name is Xavier this is Tech Xavier where I share my journey in Tech both on the career side and the education and learning side today I'm going to do something a little different I'm kicking off a series called Saturday shout outs where I look at other content creators and just Community contributors that are working closely with whatever technology I'm learning as you may know if you've been watching the previous videos I'm currently on the path to get my certified technical architect credential through servicenow and so I decided I'm going to start showcasing other content creators that work with servicenow people that I've viewed and have helped me get a better understanding of the platform some that are in the community some on LinkedIn some on YouTube Tick Tock wherever I can find them in today's video I want to highlight the biggest contributor to servicenow which is servicenow so let's go ahead and take a look at at their Suite of channels there's a couple of them that I want to highlight and again this is just a appreciation to the platform owners and to the content creators so the first Channel that I want to highlight is servicenow so it's at servicenow and this is their primary page it's more of a community page and like a product you see at first kind of page they have a lot of good content here we're looking at their description says servicenow makes the world work better for everyone our cloud-based platform and solutions help digitize and unify organizations so they can find smarter faster better ways to make workflow and as you can see there's some links here so they have a tick tock account Twitter Facebook Instagram and Linkedin the website and of course their YouTube channel it's a really cool Channel I like looking at videos that come through here and you can see there's a lot of information around different events that have happened as I mentioned knowledge it was knowledge 2023 such a huge event that was actually my first technical conference that I attended and it was a lot but it was a really amazing experience in Vegas so definitely had a good time there but as you can see there's just a lot of interviews you can see what's going on with the the health of the company it has a lot of good information around here and there's some real high level product features that you can check out so they talk about customer experience and how different clients are using their product now the next servicenow site that I want to highlight is the servicenow community Channel and this is available also on YouTube servicenow community and they have 2 000 videos just tons and tons of content around servicenow that you can review and most recently at the time of this recording there was a great video on Virtual agent and how to jump start it now one of my only wish list things and servers now if you see this hopefully you can arrange it but I wish that they had more like time stamp videos and some interaction available a lot of these like the commas are turned off so I think like this one is an example here I click on it alrighty so welcome to the what you need sorry about that if we click on any comments returned also the these are I think live showbacks or meetups yeah so live meetups this happened in June so this month in June 2023 but they go over some really cool features and they walk you through so this is like a now learning session but just a live one that you can look up and walk through some kind of workflow or custom App application build or implementation of some sort and this is an extension of the Community page and servicenow so servicenow Community or community.servicenow.com and it just says here come explore deep Dives and technical details around demonstrations with servicenow experts engage learn and share your knowledge on the now community so it's really cool you can see how people are using the platform and again nice resource I'm definitely subscribed to it this is the Incognito so it doesn't show up there but I am subscribed not tuning in as often as I can to see what's new and exciting with the platform okay so the next channel is the servicenow dev program and their ad servicenow Dev program they have 564 videos and this channel let's see supports developer program uh via this link here so if you caught my other video and I'll link it up below or above with regards to how to set up your personal developer instance you do that using this site but there's so many other features on that site that you can explore so you can learn about the different tools that are available to developers different ways of getting what you need accomplished through like productivity tools and just how to make apps work better in your environment what I like about this one there's a lot of cool stuff so this one was a recent like quick video where Chuck tomasi creating like a Family Feud game and there's just so many fun little quick hit pieces of content on here and then just things that you can you can review so like they have keyboard shortcuts that you should know while you're working in instance you have podcasts this one was around data governance I actually met this gentleman Dan Grady man he was really cool shout out to Dan Grady I'll have to do a feature on him in particular but really nice guy really fun guy to be around and it's just so many different pieces of content out here that you can learn I actually met this individual I forgot her name but she actually LED my app engine Studio class when I went to knowledge 2023 so that was really cool but yeah again there's so many contributors here and there's so many interviews and the thing I like about service now is that if you're doing work in the environment they'll pick you up a lot of these people have been like Educators or content creators or just contributors to the community and the service now is like hey you want to work for us as an instructor or as a product manager or in some different capacities so really good content on this channel as well and last but certainly not least we have the servicenow support Channel and this channel is similar to the developer one but instead of focusing on aspects of creating new applications it's more about like highlighting features around different modules or different products that are in the servicenow environment so you have a Workforce optimization here they highlight this for scheduling and creating shifts you have MFA so multi-factor Authentication they give you tools for password reset Journey designer there's all kind of little Quick videos here that really are helpful and give you an idea of what maybe something you can Implement quickly or turn on some of these are just simple feature enhancements that you just need to turn on a plug-in or install a plug-in and get it up and going but it's really cool to see basically how these different features can be used and that's why they're important and how they help make just everything else easier in the environment really cool support content and this does really well pairing with the docs page I think a lot of the docs Pages reference out to these videos and vice versions all right so there you have it there's the gist of where you can find good support for service now there's tons and tons of other creators that I definitely will highlight but I wanted to start off with the the main company channels because they're really useful they're really well produced and if you have questions you'll probably find answers there as I'm going through content if I find something noteworthy I'll definitely share it with you as I'm reviewing courses and that way you have another resource that you can tap into let me know if you like this series I know this is the first one but let me know if you're interested in it or if there's someone that you think is within the servicenow ecosystem or community that I can really I should highlight because there are so many awesome creators I know about 10 off the top of my head that have been doing good work or have started creating channels around the servicenow platform and how you can make use of that so that's it thank you for watching this video I hope it brought you some value let me know in the comments if there's anything else you want to see and until next time keep working keep pushing and let's keep growing our careers together take care dear me three to six months watch out make me proud
