Justin Meadows recently highlighted Genus Technologies ActiveArchive https://lnkd.in/gUTAiWnd in his #ServiceNow Store Highlights video (starting at the 7:24 mark): https://lnkd.in/gG59QWDp and also discussed it on his blog: https://lnkd.in/gU6pEK9C. You can cut down on storage usage while maintaining control of your data. Mark Roethof wrote an excellent guide on keeping your instance footprint in check: https://lnkd.in/gs_Vi6ei. On this guide he said the reduction of space was 70% for the attachment doc table. This is one of the places Genus moves to your own cloud. If you're tired of overpaying for storage, reach out to Charlie Jacoby at Genus and ask about Genus ActiveArchive. (This isn't an ad—it's just something I believe in and know can save many ServiceNow customers from unnecessary costs.) To give some perspective: ServiceNow charges per terabyte, but it's often unclear whether this is monthly, yearly, or per contract. Using AWS as a comparison, 1 TB of highly available storage costs about $47/month or $1,700 for three years. From what I’ve seen, ServiceNow's pricing is at least five figures for the same amount of storage.
