good morning and we are Live Well at least I should be live nothing is showing up on that screen it is it's live right so this is just um me doing another test really um nothing a huge amount to add this time but I've recently just well yesterday in fact I've recently just got full fiber into the house um I called them the day before and they were pretty quick turn that did a survey and then before I know it they're actually installing it um so this is a test of full fiber to see how it's going see if it's quick I mean if I do that can I see my hand on the screen yes I can that's pretty good um so what are we gonna do what am I going to chat about I've got nothing to talk about James isn't here I think what we'll do is I'm just gonna look do you know what I'm gonna look at right so let's look at knowledge right there's there's no um I'm not hiding behind the fact that I'm not in knowledge um this year and I'm absolutely gutted so you can see my linkedin's blowing up um constantly with everyone looks like they're having a really good time learning Lots meeting lots of people um generally just being a part of the ecosystem right and there's a lot of enthusiasm around it but I gotta be honest it looks really tiring right it looks absolutely inacarim there's a lot going on so when you look at the agenda I mean I'm just gonna have a quick look and see what they're doing today right because I'm jealous and I need to be there um uh again if you if you've just joined I'm literally just testing out my new fiber that got installed yesterday to just to check with the qualities any better because we did um James and I tried a live podcast the other week and although for me and James at the time it was going all right when I listened to it back my God it was awful and you know what no one told me it was awful um it was only when we went to listen to it and to be honest James and I never listen to ourselves back so we wouldn't know so if somebody does sound awful you've got to tell us I um I am you're right um yeah so if something sounds awful in terms of recording all the picture qualities um bad don't be afraid to tell us um someone told me the other day to try dark contrast which was awful um but I tried it so anyway what they got till breakfast go away uh breakfast more sessions going on um I mean what can we pick up I'm absolutely going next year there's no two ways about it um but that's the thing right because I'm I'm a um freelance consultant so I guess as long as I book in the holiday with the client I'm working with um I'll be paying for it myself and I can go but if you're working for a partner or customer how do you how do you position yourself in such a way that you're going to get the golden ticket right because partners aren't going to send everyone um certainly not they might have done like years and years ago but not in this day and age so how do you get to that point um I guess you're gonna have to work up to it for the whole year to put yourself in a good position to get a ticket but I would say it's absolutely worth trying because it looks like an absolute blast but there's no lab sessions I'd be interested in these uh I'm not sure which ones but this is this is the other thing um there's so much to go and do how do you even decide what your agenda is going to be and I bet you you decide before you go then you get there you think oh no it's like um 16 000 people there um what's that probably a poor attendance for a pop constant pop constant my God that's makes you sound old you get the point panel discussions I mean we're only up till 10 30. look easy when my um where I'm scrolling from I'm not going to go through them all uh dynatrace why is that ring a bell uh dollar Trace oh it rings about what else we've got keynote say yes District that's the thing I've seen the tagline actually yes it's on on everything I'm gonna flick over to my LinkedIn in a minute and you can see um all the different posts I keep annoyingly looking at um what else we got inclusive workspace I haven't got a coffee why haven't I got a coffee oh I've got myself water I'll do so yeah if you just turn that I'm afraid there's nothing terribly exciting this is just me messing around with my new fiber um I used to be fair it's quite a good deal actually it's um 29 quid a month so if you're in the UK that's 29 pounds a month so I don't know how that translates everywhere else um but it's not bad we shall see what the service is like the jury's out on that one um okay I mean I can just keep scrolling and scrolling let's see when it ends 4 30. ends about five o'clock in the afternoon that's not bad really that gives you opportunity to get back to your hotel have a bit of a swim a bit of food and then uh party all night long um okay let me have a quick look at what else we got oh I'll tell you what actually someone um I spoke to someone yesterday um last news I spoke to someone yesterday uh no I was talking to someone yesterday who has been in the industry for quite a while actually when I mean quite a while uh let's say I don't know eight years maybe ten eight years um and this this hopefully shouldn't surprise you right and I just want I'm going to say this to to make people feel more comfortable so this person had been in the industry for eight years ish um and there's something really simple they didn't know right and that's okay because in this this platform there's loads of stuff you're not going to know and it's okay sometimes to miss the simple stuff right so if you can see my screen um I'm just gonna do that why didn't I do that before why does no one tell me I keep forgetting the um the camera thing in fact I'll do that one that's a bit more fancy isn't it you can see everything right and then someone at me for not zooming in anyway the point is right this person whenever they wanted to go and find let's say they wanted to do they're on an incident um oh Jace oh Jace right stop hold the phone everyone Jace you're over in Vegas man how is it tight quicker tight quicker um anyway anyway I got distracted um but this person um was on a related list and what they were doing is they were going well I need to find that record so I know it's the SLA table let's go to the SLA table like this um and then they were going in and they were it's late yeah no sorry Jase Bakers is warm it's warm here but probably not as uh as warm as it as it is there um but they were they were putting in the the table now and going listen then buying it from there is anyone I said have you right clicked on it and then just come open window um and this guy better have been doing it for eight years and you get stuck in this pattern of this is what I know um and it was like a massive Revelation to him I was like just right click and click open new window um again it's it's simple but I just want to make people feel comfortable that some of the it's the simple stuff sometimes you miss right and and that's okay that's one thing um I was gonna mention Jace I've got no agenda for this at all um I was just literally playing with my new fiber that I got installed which is if anyone wants to know it's 190 up and down it's brilliant um but I'm going to get uh distracted now because Jace has turned up seeing loads of folks Jace big question have you had your picture taken with Chuck that's a question for you did they stream the keynote I didn't see it I didn't see it I saw my LinkedIn feed I mean as you can see it's just I mean let's give Ryan a give Ryan a like for that meeting Chuck um no they didn't not stream live on YouTube no do you know what I wanted to do um the plan was if they're going to stream it I was going to do a um like a watch along I know it sounds pretty dull right but I was gonna I wouldn't watch it I wouldn't have seen some stuff um but I think they'll probably put it as a recording but I mean my LinkedIn when I woke up this morning it's probably all gone now because you guys it's late for you guys but this oh [Laughter] classic um but it was blowing up when I woke up this morning um with just loads of pictures of everyone just really enjoying it um oh brilliant you got got notes of it but yeah not a picture from Chuck it it seemed like um a lot of people that I um that I know from the UK there was a steady stream our time at about six o'clock of pictures of them with Chuck so it's like I don't know whether he was doing the rounds or it's like uh when you go to Disney and you have to you have to wait to see the character um but there was a steady stream I'm not seeing much here sorry guys oh here we go this is the whole yes thing I'll give God past a bit of a like and run through um have you I know a lot of talk about rise up generative AI okay if you chase have you um has anyone approached you got pictures with you I bet they are out there's um next year I think there's gonna be we should do like a bingo card and you should tick off people you get pictures with you'd have Chuck Jace um uh Robert Frederick you live I mean you can name them loads again if you are just joining um there's no massive agenda to this I'm just playing with my fiber and Jace is turned up so I'm quite excited to have a bit of a chat there five six of photographs with me have you Jace have you signed an autograph please say you have please say you have um all right I've always got his uh no oh I think a pitch is uh a picture is just as good to be honest oh it's Justin Justin Meadows hasn't got there you don't have a book or anything ah I think to be honest though if um anyone's joined or anyone's listening to this after the event and they don't know Jace um Jace is um multiple um MVP for service now and got plethora of information online which if you've ever Google anything the chances are you've come across his site at some point and used some of his code Snippets and knowledge um so it might but you don't need a book to be honest with you um the fact that you you put back into the community over a certain amount of years is good enough for me I'd have an autograph yes don't you worry um I don't think I paid for it though but I would have one what else do we got ah yes news Jakes that's the one see people know James people know idly um so what's um yeah see giving some Jake some love Jake's what time is it over there you're what's that gonna be 12 o'clock is it 12 o'clock at night and you're sat here rather than out having a few drinks oh when was the karaoke at 12 47 Jesus yes when was the karaoke was that um last night well yeah uh oh yeah right okay karaoke yeah this was Chuck asking about I missed the karaoke no oh see they did um for anyone that doesn't know Chuck does this this karaoke I think he built this app I think and he does this karaoke where he my mother explained in karaoke where he sings um uh and he was doing I think it was last night and he put this up on um on LinkedIn uh to say which one uh do you want me to sing anyone that didn't vote for Take On Me um is a bit bizarre you've got to listen to Chuck do the high note surely I bet you we could but you can bash that out no problem uh yes I bet you it's knackering out there though it looks it looks awesome and I'm so chuffed for anyone that's over there but it looks knackering uh hey oh I've already give them a like yeah there's loads of stuff going on you don't want to look at my LinkedIn anymore um you're doing a live thing with anyone yeah the plan is we've got um oh I will show you actually a session tomorrow so um this this whole point this the thing I'm doing right now anyway jokes but I was on like Broadband um I spoke to you before Jason we have problems with recording or whatever and it's 100 on me in terms of my laptop being pretty rubbish and my broad brand at the time being pretty rubbish up until today so I've always had like uh 30 Meg download and six Meg upload and I've got fiber installed yesterday so that's why I'm playing with this live stream which is 190 up or down say that again 190 up or down um so I'm just playing with with what that means and see what the quality is like um have I got um uh something they say that's fast yeah but that's new right so after a week they'll go from 190 down to like 150. it's still fast still fast for me um there's another package and they're like you can have 500 or a gig why would I want that I don't I don't know um but yeah so so anyway I'm getting to the point the point is um we've got a kind of a a live a LinkedIn live podcasty type thing tomorrow at six o'clock um British time British time yeah six o'clock at my time um which is about 10 o'clock um time 10 o'clock in the morning for Vegas just after the keynote there was a there was a gap in the window between keynote and next sessions um is it there now it's here it's 8 50. so it's just 10 to 9 in the morning um but yeah so so we've got um Francis from um Fly form uh they're a partner based at Cardiff in the UK and I'm doing some awesome stuff um in the space and we've got James Barrow from um NT and T data um and they're both on the floor at knowledge you might have met them already if not I'll tell them to go and give you a shout um and the agenda really we're gonna we're just gonna chat to them and just trying to absorb some of the atmosphere trying to get um it's both these uh their first time going to knowledge they won't understand as a first timer how they got there you know what steps did they do to make sure they got tickets um what's the atmosphere like I want to know whether they've done karaoke you want to know what SWAG they're getting I want to know what sessions they've been on how excited they are how energized they are um but I also want to know some of the sessions that perhaps they went to that they went a bit going well it's a bit odd um so we want to know everything really someone asked the agenda I haven't really got an agenda you're not listened to the podcast we just turn up and just talk um there is a kind of agenda because we're playing with their time um oh no I won't spoil it then oh why what were you gonna say you're gonna tell oh you're gonna tell me all the stuff I want to know now um no so so yeah tomorrow um there is a loose agenda but as always we'll just digress and play it by here and they will be probably on their phones while working around the conference so um it may work it may not um and if it doesn't you know we tried right so hello I'm anyway the point is uh the fiber should keep the um the stream going um but I'm conscious that they may lose connection you may just be talking to me again for half an hour which would be pretty dull if that happens I'll just cut off right okay what else have we got it'll be great well let's set the bar a bit lower Jace it'll be all right um because if you could pick some good Community questions and solve them online with shot just like Chuck um yeah that's probably not gonna be the podcast tomorrow um yeah we've got these guys for a limited amount of time and they'll be enthusiastic and enjoying life I'm hoping um so we're about to get any questions out I don't know but we'll definitely um try next time we've got um James and I on the podcast where this will be episode 12 tomorrow we chose to do it in a series so it'll be series one episode 12. and I think will it no series one episode 13. and I think after this we'll probably call a um we'll sign off on uh series one and then we'll start series two uh and we may change the format series two so keep an eye out for that um but we'll probably have a break for a few weeks and then obvious series two again oh we don't know don't give you something to ask about oh I'll send you my rough day one yes yes yes yes yes do that Jace only do that though um because I know it's late there only do that if um I'm moving back on there um if you don't want to go to bed I don't want to take any you time out at all um but I would really appreciate that that would be brilliant um anyway it is now six minutes to nine and I'm gonna go and grab a coffee before I now start with the Run of stand-ups uh that is the morning for my day um collect all my notes and get ready for my day but anyway if you've stuck around um and you tried it's awesome
