[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching and welcome to my house that's Justin's house in this video I want to show you what's new with admin center after the May 2023 store release from servicenow I've got it up here right behind me this is in one of my SSH episodes but if you go to the store search for admin Center and look at the version history you're going to see that on May the 4th there are some updates and part of those updates were a new dashboard some critical instance information and the ability to provide feedback and I'm going to show you why this is important but first let me show you the old one so you know what we're coming from this was the original admin Center it was eh it just you know it was a start it was a step forward it was something the admins needed but there wasn't much unless you knew UI Builder to for you to do to come in here and tweak this to what you needed so you've got apps ready to update after you install this just brings you to the application or apps App Management dot do interface that we all know and love the instant security Center critical tasks new tasks task priority this is supposed to be stuff that's assigned to me here in the middle like a list of things open task by age my favorites some requests and then some tools down here below so this is completely changed in the new version so let's go back to my PDI and we will go to admin home so you can see what the new one looks like after the May 2023 update that came out on May the 4th and what I'm going to tell you is the first thing that's going to show up here is that new dashboard they call it performance analytics let me change my application um I'm in admin Center somehow I put the dashboard in my other application my Justin's house so oh actually it's pulling oh that's interesting what in the world how did that happen um it's pulling up my Justin's house dashboard into my admin Center so let's um hmm that was not expected because this is not how it was working yesterday but okay we'll roll with it folks there should be an admin center dashboard here and I don't know why it's not showing let's see it should not be showing Justin's house let me let me log out and log back in that is just really weird that that's showing like that um let's see I'll keep my password on a clipboard just don't tell anybody uh we'll paste that in I think I'm gonna have to authenticate because I got that turned on on my PDI so let's go ahead and provide the authentication and we will blur out these numbers just in case you're able to reverse engineer that I don't want you to I want to keep my instance safe and uh let's try going back to admin home okay so what it showed the first time I went to admin home before I hit record was the admin center dashboard that's the new embedded dashboard it didn't show Justin's house dashboard which is part of my workspace so that was weird let's go back to admin home and hope that the dashboard is showing like it's supposed to now um track yes okay this is what we're supposed to see not Justin's dashboard but this is the new dashboard um you can see I've got open request open uh incidents P1 aging incidents request items over 24 hours I went and added myself to some groups to have their incident show up but I didn't bother um making sure requests show up obviously if stuff's assigned to your admin group or whoever is logged in looking at this admin page it's going to show up there problems changes security compliance score going into that instant security Center down below here instance upgrade on Utah no upgrades are scheduled entitled servicenow apps five of them need update 360 installed total of 812 and then I can jump out to the apps management apps management.do I can jump into adoption blueprint and then there the very bottom is that ability to provide feedback about the particular dashboard that we're looking at so we can click on here share a suggestion put a rating in there and allow them to contact or not to follow up now why is this important why am I making a video it's this right here this ability to edit now this dashboard without you being an expert in UI Builders so think of if you I'll reference one of my videos up above platform analytics workspace is where you can go set up these dashboards and now you can go adjust these you can say hey I'm not really interested in request items or I don't want to place that much emphasis on them and you can adjust these you can add new widgets to your dashboard so here you've got filters and headings images and kpis a data visualization would be a kpi you just pick which one you want there you can see behind my head single score dial gauge time series bars this was all enhanced in Utah too now if you want check out some of my other videos but that's the big aha moment here is now it's not a static page for admins you're able to come in and tweak this and tailor it to what you want it to be to
