foreign right now I'm going to walk you through getting quick views and easy access to your records using the activity stream in your servicenow list views so when we talk about the activity streams we're talking about a sequential account of all of the activity in the currently listed records the key benefits is that the activity stream allows you quick access to events notes tasks related to a particular servicenow item also the activity stream allows you to monitor workflow details think user approvals and when approvals were received and finally it ensures accountability because the activity stream includes all of the information related to a particular servicenow item to access the activity stream you want to go to the title bar you click you'll click the icon that looks like an EKG symbol once you click the icon the activity stream fly out window opens when you click the open entry within the activity stream you'll be able to add additional comments or you can add work notes and Just for kicks and Giggles leave me a comment in the description below letting me know the difference between comments and work notes and to close the activity stream you go to the double right arrow at the top let's hop over to my personal developer instance and take a look around so to open the activity stream we'll go to the title bar we will look for the activity stream icon let's zoom in a bit so you can get a better view so you can see what I mean when I say it looks like an EKG symbol we'll click to open and as you see the fly out opens on the right side we'll select the open entry let's zoom in just a bit here we'll select the open entry here we have the option to add a comment or we can select the check box to make this a work note and post let's click the back arrow and I also want to point out here if you select the comment here you can also add a comment and you also have the same option to click the work note to make it a work note instead I'll go ahead and select cancel when you select open entry you also have the option to open the record itself now what's important to note is that when you open the record you'll be able to see all of the activity and obviously all of the all of the information related to the record but what I wanted to show you here is that the activity stream includes the same information that's also in the activity formatter in your record let's click out of that and that's how you use the activity stream now be sure to watch the next video where I give you more information about getting the most of your list views and servicenow I'll see you there let's go [Music] thank you [Music]
