foreign if you've made it this far and watched some or even all of the videos in this series I would just like to extend a big thank you creating scripted rest apis is a lot of work but it's also a lot of fun there's also a lot of planning that needs to go into the development of your API specifically you need to discuss and determine the exact requirements before you start creating your API luckily for us though there are some documents on the now create portal that will assist us in this planning work so if you come to now create and just search directly for an asset type in the word Integrations search and then you'll see two documents here a Integrations mapping template and an Integrations planning template both of them on Word documents so if you open up the planning template that will tell you some information about essentially documentation that you should have about your Integrations not just for incoming Integrations like our scripted rest API but also for outgoing ones of all shapes and sizes so take a look at that it's a really helpful document if you go over to the mapping template you'll find that it's just a table in that word document that assists you in just mapping fields from your source to your target you should now be familiar with the tools to create secure and manage apis one of the roles that you will have as a servicenow developer or a consultant will be to educate the customer if not on the specific functionality in the detail that we've gone through in this series at least on the general capabilities of the platform and to start to match customer requirements with those capabilities the first and most obvious one is the documentation unscripted rest apis it also contains some simple examples for you to look at on the developer portal that obviously contains your API documentation but it also contains various learning courses as well and there's one in particular for rest Integrations and one specifically for scripted rest apis so take a look at that as well there's also documentation for using Postman there's a Learning Center here that you can go through to learn more about this really valuable tool for testing your apis and they also have a separate YouTube channel as well if you want to learn more about oauth and as we've seen in this series it plays a very important part in securing our apis there is an excellent course on udemy called the nuts and bolts of or 2.0 by Aaron perecki I really enjoyed this course and I learned a lot from it there is the YouTube playlist by Chuck tomasi on learning Integrations on the now platform which covers all things Integrations and finally I would like to refer you to my friends in the servicenow developer Advocate team and their YouTube channel the servicenow dev program they provide weekly content on all things development in servicenow and they do it in such a fun and cheerful way and this channel is an invaluable resource for all servicenow developers worldwide and I might add servicenow trainers as well so thanks for watching everyone and good luck with your development foreign
