foreign [Music] use case for the scene okay so let's get started as you can see on my screen this is my servicenow PDA and in order to why we have to use a table Builder Okay so table Builder is a capability which helps you to ease out the work of table creation right so you can create papers from spread shares from Integrations from anywhere okay with very is and all the data mappings are pretty easy that you would be seeing in this particular video so uh what I decided I want to work on one application which is called a learning course application so we'll be printing that application only as a part of this so in order to navigate to the scene what I will be doing I will first create an application so I will go to favorite app engine Studio if you take some time to load so this is the interface for app pages today if you haven't seen this till this particular point of time this pretty nice capability with service now provided we will create an app and what this learning app will be doing so it will be like a learning task will be there which will get assigned to certain people to work on and they have to complete those Styles this is just a draft phase for that particular application so I will just give it a name as learning app and not give any description or logo for the scene we'll continue we will keep everything as is okay I don't want to do any changes always save time on the same and we'll go to the the app got created so we'll go to the app dashboard and this is how the app dashboard looks like so now we will click on this data Okay so if I want to show you I have created an Excel which looks like this so from this particular thing I have to create a table so it has course ID name assigned to location State and active these are a couple of fields just for the demo purpose so we want to create a table for the scene and this table will be extending the task table why because these are also a learning task right so let's see how we can do that so we will click on in data we will click on ADD and I will be focusing on what things got changed as a part of puta's list this was already present as the previous video San Diego to this also so now you have an option to create a blank table which I never do okay create a data integration table so basically there will be data on certain external system and you will be putting that date out and creating table out of it or you want to import it from a spreadsheet so for this particular tutorial as we have a spreadsheet prepared so we'll choose this option so I've clicked on import a spreadsheet I will go on continue and then it's asking to upload the spreadsheet so let's go let's select the spreadsheet learning spreadsheet and now it's like enter row number okay for the table header so our table headers are present in the first row only so we'll not touch it up and then we we have a option called input spreadsheet data so this is always check this out because it will save a tons of your time right so I've checked it out we'll go with continue and now this is the thing with got changed in total so previously it was like you you can create a custom table out of it now you have an capability to X to create a table which is extending certain table out right so we will not create a new table will just extend a table and an existing table will select right so so we'll click on this particular option create from an existing table Sorry by mistake I've selected the existing table so from an existing table continue now one more thing cut change whenever you want to select this kind of data which table you want to extend to so you will be clicking on the table list and there will be tons of tables and most of the uh first tables you have haven't heard about right so now in uttar this is they have modified it out so you can see what are the most recommended tables which you will be seeing at the top and also you will have the description for the same what exactly the table stores so it gives quite a huge insight for the developer okay what table they have to use right so we'll be selecting task only so you can see all this ah um generic tables which get extended like configuration item Asset Services and all so we'll be selecting tasks will continue now we'll give it a name so we're in learning running task and we will not make it extensible but uh to make it Auto number [Music] um yes for instance okay we'll give it running okay sorry my bad learning and we'll make it continue we'll keep all the profiles and now the table is getting created okay great your table is ready for the data okay so we will continue just click click click we are moving towards low code no code kind of thing I will not even call it as low code it's no code and now this is a transform map kind of thing okay where you can map the phase from import set table to the Target table okay so I will just close this out and now you can see it has already mapped couple of fields okay which using its AI okay which it feels that it's the right match for the test table so you can see on the right side we we have all the previously it used to be blank okay but as without release we have the capability to X create an extending table also so you can see all the fields from the task table over here so it has already assigned couple of things out active assigned to location to location State this is also fine and now if you go to add face it will show you what fields are not mapped okay so I will just remove all just to Showcase one thing and I will just make it course ID okay so I just want to create a field called course ID and I will add a field for the same now I haven't mapped name so when you click on this add Fields right so it will just give you a list of fields which are not mapped okay so I intentionally I have intentionally not mapped the name field you will come to know why and I will simply continue without mapping that out so if I go and continue so use like it gives you warning that you have unmapped field this is very important because I I used to face this a lot of time where I have created a table creator mappings imported the data and then I came to know oh I'm a certain Fade Out to be map and it's a huge work then so this is really nice so it asks do you want to continue without mapping this out or you want to go to the back to the mapping I'll go back to the mapping uh I will what I will do I will map this name to short description so very short description ideally short description I'll go over your learning and name you can also do drop a drag and drop but it was not possible over here to do so I will continue and now it's creating the table so it has created a table over here so what we'll be doing let's go to edit table is getting loaded I guess so yes including and now you must be knowing all the things which we have from the San Diego things right we have data and forms if you want to add some validations you can do it you can configure the form layout and all those things over here you you will be having one option over here the way you have this drop down over here right more action in the similar way you will have a drop down over here which will allow you to select of field map also okay so basically it will give you a nice formulated mapping of your of table mapping okay for this particular table but I was unable to explore this out or I've gone through the docs and it stated that you need to have app engine table builder for app engine installed so I've installed the plugin out but it also have one more thing called exclusive low code capability we have to entitle to that particular license so I was not able to zoom so but if you have that license you will get that option over here and it's pretty nice to have that map I will go back to the app okay and what we will do we will just so you can see there are two things created table got created and a data map you can consider it as a transform app only so if next step you want to import the data for the same table you you don't have to create this mapping again you can use the same same mapping okay data mapping so we'll go to the preview T preview and see if the data got added or not okay okay say if I clicked on it as you can see the entire data got added with with respect to columns mappings and the data seems to be pretty nice right so this this is how paper buildup Works in service now and I've also shown what all the additional features got added to the table builder in the uttar release
