On-Call Scheduling | Dashboards and reports for On-call scheduling

Import · Feb 24, 2023 · video

This video is an overview of the dashboards and
reports in the ServiceNow On-call Scheduling   application. The base application provides three
reports and one dashboard. Companies with a premium   performance analytics license also get a premium
dashboard. We're logged in with the admin role. For   reports and dashboards in this application to
work, you need to enable the logging feature on   the on-call properties page. Any user with the
itil role can view these reports and dashboards.   An Escalations report shows the escalation
sequence for a group's on-call escalations.   To view an escalations report, we'll
first choose a report type-we want a   report for active escalation numbers.
We'll specify the report start date,   choose a group, and run the report. Here,
we can see the escalation sequence,   the active rosters, and the agents who were
notified. A schedule report shows users who   are on call for a specified period. To view a
schedule report, we'll first choose a report style.   We want a formatted report. We'll specify
the start and end dates, choose a group, and then run the report. Here we
can see the schedule details of   the Service Desk group for the period we chose. The My Schedule report shows
the schedule of the group we own.   To view the report, we'll choose a
report period and then run the report. The On-Call Overview dashboard has an Escalation
Overview tab that gives a snapshot of all on-call   escalations. We can see the live count of active,
unacknowledged, and acknowledged escalations.   We can see escalation information for
the past seven days and also today's data.   Clicking any of the sections will
give us the list of escalations. To view data for a specific group, we can use
the Groups filter. The Groups Overview tab   is a seven-day snapshot of a group's activities.
We can see the Service Desk group's acknowledged   and unacknowledged escalations by shift. We can
also view the on-call hours for each user and the   number of escalations acknowledged by them. We can
click any of the sections to get more information. We can only view data for one group at a time.
The Premium Dashboard is available to companies   with a PA Premium license and is visible
only to users with a Premium Dashboard role. It includes an additional performance tab that
gives a detailed overview of how escalations are   processed. The All Escalations tab gives the
number of escalations on the selected date.   There was a spike in escalations
on December 23rd. We could view the   unacknowledged and acknowledged escalations
data by choosing a date from the date selector. Here we can segment the data into categories,
filter by groups, escalation category or priority,  and see the individual escalation records. We can also switch to a different data view.
Together these reports and dashboards give you   a quick, integrated view of your on-call
activities. For more information, see our   product documentation or knowledge base. Or
ask a question in the ServiceNow community.
