when creating a new checklist in checklist Pro you have to Define what are the items in your checklist we do this by first creating template configurations and associating with your checklist a template configuration is a container for holding a set of checklist Pro template records that are used to define each item that appear in your checklist each template record has a name which is the text that you see for each checklist item the template record also has a type and an order to establish where in the checklist the item will appear [Music] checklist Pro provides a variety of types for your checklist items including a simple check box a user configurable Choice option a date field an HTML label a number a reference field to a particular record within servicenow table and a string text box when you set the template configuration active field to true you will not be able to add new template records nor will you be able to edit existing ones those operations can only be performed when the active field is false in our example we will create a template configuration for a checklist that will appear on computer records once you've created your template configuration it can be used with your checklist configuration in fact it can be used more than once
