foreign my name is manin and I am a technical consultant here at glidefast today I will take you through setting up OCTA for single sign-on on your servicenow instance there are a couple prerequisites on the servicenow end to take care of first make sure you have the multiple provider single sign-on installer plug-in activated once installed you also need to make sure you have account recovery set up on at least one of the admin accounts on your instance login to OCTA on the admin homepage navigate to Applications click on browse app catalog and lookup servicenow UD once you land on the app hit the add integration button for the application label we will do servicenow demo copy and paste your instance URL for base URL for sign-on methods we will select saml 2.0 next scroll down and hit the identity provider metadata link this should then open the saml metadata in a new tab or window you simply copy and store the URL for the next steps and we are done setting up the application next you will need to assign users or groups to the application for them to be able to access servicenow through SSO to do that simply click assign and for the sake of the demo we will just assign my OCTA account to the app we're done on OCTA back on servicenow we navigate to multi-provider SSO Administration and properties we need to make sure the enable multi-provider SSO and enable debug logging for the multiple provider SSO integration properties are checked out next we go under multi-provider SSO identity provider we will go ahead and create a new identity provider we select saml and now all you simply need is to paste the URL you copied from the metadata page in the pop-up box and hit import finally just test the connection and activate the provider success now for some testing I will go to my regular and user dashboard on OCTA on an incognito window as you can see we have servicenow linked under my apps and if I click it I should bypass login and should land up on my servicenow instance and that is how we set up SSO for servicenow through OCTA thanks for watching [Music]
