go they're flying by applauses and hearts and the usual stuff so we appreciate that let us know what you think as we're going through this welcome everybody from around the world whether you're watching live or you're watching this recording later I am so excited to be here let's get on with it with some quick introductions before we do that we need that Safe Harbor we are talking about an early availability release so please be aware that some of the things we talk about may not be no so far so good but may not make it to the general availability release in March so we will be coming okay quick introduction about me my name is Chuck tomasi for those that are new you may not know me so here's the quick the 30-second pitch I am a senior developer Advocate at service now I've been here since 2010 I've done hundreds of videos and thousands of podcasts in my history loving every minute of it sharing the information with you before I was an employee I was a customer so I've been where you are I've done your jobs to some extent plus or minus a few different things and my history goes way way back I can now officially say I'm in my fifth decade of my tech Journey no over to Lauren hi there everybody my name is Lauren McManaman I am the second newest senior developer Advocate on these on the servicenow team I was a former servicenow developer and joined servicenow in 2017 as a Creator workflow solution consultant you might have seen me on kind of a familiar face joining the developer advocacy team in 2022 uh perhaps at the Dallas now at work Keynotes or perhaps you were one of my customers so shout out to y'all um Avid enthusiasts of Photography YouTube and training for my sake Somalia test here in October with that I'll kick things over to you for now hi everyone my name is pranav I am the newest developer Advocate like two months old into service now I have close to around eight years of service now experience I started as a software engineer moved into Consulting did it for a couple of years and just Friday joining service now I was working with a customer in support and was supporting them with their implementation I was also part of the service now MVP class for last two years which I'm really proud of apart from my work I love to walk to box play video games and travel to some exotical explanation whenever I get a chance now I pass it to earn thanks pranav hi everyone My Name is Earl Duque I am a developer Advocate with servicenow I joined about a year and a half ago but before that I was a developer for three different customers mostly in higher edu education just like pranav I was a previous developer MVP and I also participated in a lot of our servicenow hackathons uh was a lot of finalists and category winners making really silly things uh right now I am the program lead for the developer mentorship program hacktoberfest and a lot of other things too I am a proud contributor for womennow.dev go ahead and check that out if you are uh wanting are you if you're an ally or if you're seeking to contribute to uh growing the community of women inside service now and on the side I like games just like print up building weird stuff on servicenow and making silly videos and if you are on Tick Tock or Instagram you can see my handle on there and check it out but now that we have introductions out of the way we're going to go ahead and jump in uh if you check out your screen right now you see we have a big agenda for you today and we'll jump in soon but we have a little bit of housekeeping announcements that we want to get through right now there's a lot of things going on uh you'll see icons throughout the slides during our presentation today if you see a dollar sign at the top right that means it's a paid option so if it if there's no dollar sign on the top that means it's part of the platform it's part of a feature that everyone will be getting so that's great and if you say a little house icon that little house icon is an indicator that it's part of the servicenow store and so you'll need to go to the store to see the capabilities uh to get it and to see if there's pricing or not on there a little bit more of announcements or a little bit of fun stuff that's going on with this Tech now is it's actually the 10th birthday of tech now Tech now was launched 10 years ago on February 1st 2013 and in the original host were Chuck tomasi and Andrew Kincaid and funnily enough the the first tech now the live audience for techno was only 10 people and it was on Google Hangouts and the first topic uh now that now seems ancient to us but was jelly and was a very relevant topic for all of the developers and admins out there in the servicenow instance and if you check out Chuck's picture right now that's actually great this is before the bow tie he's not wearing any bow tie and I think um Chuck actually has uh some little bow ties he can show off right now Chuck it is Throwback Thursday so I thought I'd bring along some old friends I do have you know version one and version two of the old red tie with the power icon and the three that were graciously gifted to me with our 2018 branding on them as well so I thought that would be fun I also want to give a shout out to all the people who helped along the way we we have a new set of posts here with Earl and pranav and Lauren thank you so much uh but I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to Dave Slusher and Craig stepp they've been very helpful along with Stacy Bailey Max Farm uh who are my other people on you about frequently asked questions so this is an overview of app engine automation engine and a multitude of other platform features uh that UE are going to be using as developers and admins uh it's not a demo though so we won't be doing any Demos in this presentation because there's so much for us to cover think of this as like a table of contents for things to come we will be doing deeper dives into the topics uh in upcoming videos blogs and podcasts and you can actually see what we plan to do deep Dives on if you go to devlink.sn Utah and you'll see all the things that we have planned out for the next couple of months actually so make sure to check those out before anyone asks we will not be discussing licensing and pricing here it's like the number one thing we always get asked if you have questions about product pricing please make sure you contact your account team and then between our big topics like app engine and automation engine we will be taking breaks for Q a between sections so we could try to answer some of your questions live on live on this webinar but that was a lot that's enough of the housekeeping items let's jump straight into the content and I'm gonna kick it off and give it to Lauren awesome thank you so much Earl I'm so excited I get to kick things off this morning and talk about app engine So speaking of app engine a couple newcomers might be thinking well what is app engine well since the Quebec release of servicenow app engine has allowed users the ability to create delegate and maintain custom low code applications and all the facets that make them up so there's a lot to cover for app engines uh overall changes but let's go ahead and start with the enhancements table Builder has a trifecta of enhancements that have come with the Utah release now let's start off with how you import when you import a data source to create a new table you can actually now select for it to be extended off of an internal table two so essentially after importing it'll then also prompt you to match the fields very very similar to how the transformation maps have worked in the past so essentially now instead of having to create an extended table first and then import and kind of reconfigure everything you can do that all with a click of a button the second enhancement to table Builder and kind of speaking of extended tables as well is given that there are tons and tons and tons of options for the default extended tables list we finally picked out the vastly most common ones move them to the top of the list and also provided some much more um descriptive descriptions as you say of every single table so now there's no more confusion between extending off of CIS user versus infuser and then finally when building your table there is now a read-only rendering of how your table is related to others within and outside of your scope why is this important well it really shows the impact of the data set that you're working on and shows how everything is connected on the servicenow platform even going up beyond the scope of the application that you are creating another enhancement is one that possibly you might have missed this was part of the November Tokyo store release which if you'd like to read more about we actually have a full blog post detailing all the specifics where you can learn more concerning the building of custom app templates prior to this if there was something wrong with the build it would just simply not go through and kind of shrug its shoulders at you at this release however now you will clearly know what the impediment is not only will you know what the impediment is but it kind of categorizes them basically showing you a full log of all the problematic items but differentiating between whether or not something is being skipped over as part of your template or if it's actually preventing it from being built in the first place now that we've got the enhancements out of the way finally onto stuff that is absolutely a hundred percent brand new it brings me so much joy to announce that there is a new low code way for users to create workspaces something that was previously pretty much relegated to the pro code domain through uib workspace Builder kicks things off in a very similar way to guided app creator it walks you through essentially what is available to build with your workspaces and really details also why each part is important users can now also clear easily pan back and forth between the Builder and the preview and build these configure workspaces very rapidly it's also worth noting that you will not be able to edit old workspaces in the workspace Builder just want to make sure we can Hammer that home this will pertain to things that use the experience workspace template from Tokyo store one version and Beyond so keep that in mind when building it also gives you incentive to upgrade your eight instances and stay n minus one next the major Edition has come to app engine management center admin's One-Stop shop for all the analytics for their custom apps not only is what was previously available now broken down in a month by month view but now there's much more quantitative analytics on user experiences of staying with the theme of experiences here for each experience users can not only see who is using it how much time people spend how many times they return and everything that they've actually done so if they're using that to build or update or delete you will actually know that that's occurring this is fantastic for teams that are trying to prioritize lists of where they should spend their time developing or what needs more TLC now you can see what your users are spending the most time on to leave that nasty impact on anything that you decide to upgrade and then also we have the bell of the ball may I be the one to introduce you to ECM something that's so important it is an acronym within an acronym itself so ECM or Erp customization mining is basically the answer to one of the biggest problems that I faced when I was one on the solution Consulting team when we are on these teams we are meeting with customers that really really repower users of the big Erp powerhouses like sap they were you know maybe learning trying and think trying to figure out how to utilize all that Legacy data with the workflow and UI capabilities that servicenow had but when they were considering what to start with they kind of ran into two problems one the amount of data in these Erp platforms was so vast they didn't really know what to prioritize and two to actually create a custom application that utilized both to their best extent they would need to live of Rich experts in both platforms a very pricey resource that most customer bases ECM removes both of these impediments it is ridiculously powerful not only does it scan currently only sap instances but spoiler alert probably more to come soon but also identifies where the customizations have been made and even ranks them based off their complexity so using this to kind of choose where to start you can build custom apps that help you integrate servicenow and erps and spoiler alert too if there is an app template that you've already created that's appropriate for that custom map it will make recommendations now like I said before given the supremacy it currently has in the Erp space and also maybe a little bit because we've got bill in our corner now it's no surprise that we're starting this off with sap only for our first release but there is definitely more to come in the future and I'll give this a moment to kick things off for a quick amount of q and a thank you Lauren one of the questions that we received was can you use table Builder without app engine Studio like began with decision Builder uh that is a fantastic question I believe currently table Builder is only accessible through app engine Studio but I will need to double check on that to be sure that's my understanding as well Lauren awesome um so another person was asking uh when you showed off the class tables having descriptions uh do all the class labels have descriptions or is that something that we can configure to in the future uh are you talking about the extended tables yes so I believe all of them were given some general amount of description the default ones that were available um however I believe they're the ones that were prioritized were given more lengthy descriptions awesome thank you another a quick question uh what and what application Suite is that under ECM is currently I believe an additional Point within an app well I will always say it depends on your licensing structure it exists within the app engine like umbrella I believe but isn't that something that will have to be added or included I'm not sure about obviously we can't discuss pricing but it's something that would need to be negotiated I believe awesome and maybe one more question do you know can the workspace Builder be used at existing workspaces like sow or is it only for building new uh workspaces as long as they're made after Tokyo store one I believe they will work with the workspace Builder all right thank you Lauren for showing us some of the new features of app engine let's switch our Focus to automation engine for those of you who don't know about automation engine automation engine can be thought as a combination of integration Hub RP Hub document intelligence and automation Center which binds them all together before I jump into the new features let me talk about Hermes it's a term that will be mentioned in this presentation a few times Hermes is a servicenow platform capability that enables customers to use Kafka to connect to their data system to their service nonsenses for streaming data at scale in near real time in short you can think of it as a message bus built on Apache Kafka which offers fast and scalable data exchanges between servicenow instance and third-party system you will see home is used in three main places stream connect which I'm which I'll cover in the upcoming slide and IDR and log export service which Chuck will cover in the platform section now let's move into integration Hub quick update till now we have built 186 books for our customers to consume moving on to the new features of integration up first up is stream connect for Apache Kafka you can utilize stream connect plugin on the servicenow platform to produce and consume data at scale between serviced out and other business processes from the platform you can Leverage The Kafka message flow bus message flow to process data or if you have already developed the RT configurations and you want to switch to stream connect you can easily do that by utilizing different consumers as you can see on the slide which are part of the stream connect stream connect plugin also supports domain separation for MSP customers if you want to know more about it you're coming up with the Creator toolbox episode on Steam connect with one of our product managers so you make sure you check our Utah calendar at devlink.sing slash Utah let's look into some of the integration Hub import enhancements for those of you who don't know about integration of import it is a web portal which simplifies the process of importing data from external sourcing and transforming it into service node table as part of Utah we have added support to import CSV file types when using the integration Hub import experience another feature we have added is the Auto map features you can now click on the automap button to map Source field to Target Field automatically and lastly we have added couple of new features to the action designer steps you can have many rest endpoints configured through the platform using the old rest message records now you have the ability to convert these into new action steps easily using the rest step itself and talking about the rest we have made the testing of register Easier by allowing you to test the rest step in isolation and you can provide runtime values to it also which allows more for modular testing of the step just a call out we have added the isolated testing to the soap step also personally speaking I love these two features as uh when I was making working on a custom integration back in the day if these features were there it would have helped me a lot let's move to RP hub let's look into some what's RP Hub RPA or robotic process automation is the form of business process automation where boards are deployed as a substitute for human in routine high volume manual task the Utah release brings several RPA RP Hub enhancements for accelerating the RPA deployment first one and also the more simulated features and my personal favorite you can get you can now get a RP Hub enabled in your personal developer instances of one call out on personal developer instances there is a limit of one attendant and one unattended robot each if you want to get a PDF for yourself you can visit developer.servicenow.com next up is the RP recorder which allows you to record your task and automatically generate a flow based on the recording this feature will make your board building process super fast another new feature is the unified app connector it helps in interacting with in capturing elements on the desktop and browser-based application and here are some of the here a couple of more quick things from the RPA Department you can easily move the RP configuration across instances using update sets there is an added MFA support for logging into multi-factor enabled application with the auto redrive functionality in our pre-hub it retries the failed work queues of work queue item based on the application exception type quite similar to how retry policy Works in Flow Design Robo calendar or robot calendar enables you to visually determine the available time slots for Bots for Bots for Optimum robot utilization if you want to know more about it we'll be coming up with the Creator toolbox as well as a live coding Happy Hour episode with one of our product managers to Deep dive into the RPM so make sure you check the Utah calendar at Devlin dot SN slash Utah let's move into document intelligence for those of you who don't know about document intelligence it's a human assisted document passes a parsing application to replace manual work as Chuck mentioned in the previous check now that we have taught servicenow how to read and in Utah we have started some new tricks to read more efficiently let's talk let's look into some of the new features starting with better support for extracting information from long table till now our AI only supports extracting single page tables in Utah we will be expanding the range of table which our AI can support to provide additional automation possibilities when dealing with log tables we are also bringing a new interface for table extraction as shown in the slide next up is the new admin experience the current admin experience relies on the list and forms but that's not the case in Utah as we are bringing an entirely new admin experience based on the next experience lastly we are bringing a better support for extracting information from checkbox till now we are only supporting manual extraction of check boxes in Utah we are adding AI models that will learn how to extract checkbox information through user feedback we are also revamping the UI in order to provide a better user experience for extracting different types of checkbox information if you want to know more about it we'll be we'll be getting into some of the nuts and bolts of document intelligence during an episode of Life coding happy hour to so make sure you check the Utah calendar at devlink.snl let's move into the last section of automation engine that's automation Center automation Center helps to govern the end-to-end multi-vendor life cycle in one place in simple this is the optimal and control center for all your automations whether they are part of servicenow or outside of servicenow let's look into some of the new updates first up is added support to visualize flow data in automation sector you you just have to select which slow you which flows you want to track using the automation tracker we have also addressed some of the gaps in the UI path integration and enhance this capability lastly we have added added abilities to show any existing similar automation to enable reusability and avoid duplicate efforts if you want to know more about it will be coming up with a creative toolbox episode on automation sector with one of our product manager so make sure you check the Utah calendar at Devlin dot Essence tutor I have said Yota calendar multiple times it can easily turn into a drinking game don't do that I'm just joking about it that's all I have for automation engine now I'll take some questions uh and then we'll move to the next section good job so we had a question about uh what would would harm means be like a Next Level integration for things like active directory syncing and or we also had a question that Chuck answered uh but what would be some possible use cases for Hermes as a Enterprise solution yeah so some of the possible use cases for Hermes can be if you want to send your data outside of service now for reporting purpose you can utilize the Hermes because it it allows you to transfer this data and fast and in a fast way so that's one and coming to uh the thing like the first question that you asked like for ad things yes you can connect it uh to Hermes and from Hermes you can get the data into service now at a fast scalable way it is like as I mentioned in the previous slide it's like a message bus where you can put your messages and all the application can consume data from that message bus for more scalable and faster transaction follow-up question is is Hermes uh connects directly to apps or is it always via mid server it so Hermes connects why the mid server that's there and uh the the thing is that like you have message flows that why the integration Hub you have the message flow that's there so if you want to push data to Hermes you can utilize the integration Hub uh message flow that's the recommended that's the recommendation that we have and do you know if it's a cloud and available on on-prem also so it's available on cloud uh for on-prem like I need to check on that but till now I think it's available on cloud and we can support it supports domain separation also if somebody's asking awesome we saw a lot of reactions to RPA being able to be using pdis coming up and we had one question asking so does that mean the RCA studio is that do we have the embedded version in the pdis or is it still needed to be installed locally on our machines you you have to install the RP comprises of two things one is the RP on service now and one is the RP Client app so once you install the plugin you will have to install the RPA client uh to build all your RP automation so yes to in in short yes you have to install the particular software to build your RP automations but what you're asking uh whoever asked that question uh Safe Harbor of course but I know that's something that they're working toward and that will be announced when that becomes available within the platform instead of having to install it any other questions that people want to add to Sir on air oh we've got a lot of questions thank you very much and as we stated earlier we're not going to be able to answer all of these on air they're just coming in way too fast but we do have time afterwards to answer them you will get an email with a link directly to a community article with our answers so give us a day or two to wrap that up I think it's over to Lauren at this point awesome thanks so much pranav y'all couldn't escape me for too long because now we I have the joy of bringing you more fun focusing on Flow designer and process automation designer so just as a quick reminder flow designer is our low code way to automate processes on the servicenow platform it's not for several years so if it's not if you're not using it yet you should really give it a try and process automation designer or PAD as you'll often heard referred to as offers a low code way to build on top of flow designer to automate processes and have them interact with a Playbook experience within a workspace so playbooks are visualizations of pad executions now to kick things off it's time for our semi-annual flow designer Improvement speed round because there's always quite a few to them with every single uh update to servicenow starting off we've got Associated flows essentially this allows all action designers the ability to see where their actions are actually being put to use this is phenomenal news so either when they go to publish a new version or there's actually a drop down now within the interface itself designers can see not only the flows and subflows that their actions are being used in but whether or not those act or excuse me those entities are actually active so showing impact has been a consistent theme kind of throughout the ones I've been presenting and it's really valuable because it cuts down on air detection and obviously testing time for the future now keeping in theme with actions we now have the ability to convert them while you're building a subflow let me repeat that while you're building a subflow you know with which are also extremely valuable because they helped speed the automation on the system you know they're car part mentalizing the big big main flows and reduce the capacity of those but say You're Building something you're on a roll you're going through all these actions and you realize man this really should be organized into a subflow something that I can use repeatedly later on now you can select the said subsequent actions click a button and turn them into a subflow and better yet the system will actually replace your old actions in the one that you are creating them in originally with the subflow that you made flow diagramming a recent enhancement and an alternate view of flow designer received at also a big Improvement now on and not only can you see the stages within the diagramming view but they can be changed and altered there as well this brings it one step closer to being full feature parity with its predecessor for the people that are really big fans of this more flow oriented UI and then finally concerning flows we have flow priorities if you've developed a lot on service now you see that there's many times that you see the option to prioritize one thing over another you see that with business rules UI actions Etc now we also understand too on the servicenow platform there's always so many threads per node there's only so many things you can automate at the same time and prior to this all flows were done in a first in first out or fifo manner which isn't that optimal concerning what businesses are are automating now users can separate flows into different levels of priority that will better dictate the order of operation and it can even be paused and lure in lieu of higher priority flows so by default everything you've made everything servicenow is made is prioritized to a medium priority flow low things should be reserved for those that aren't very time sensitive those huge long maybe data import oriented flows and then you've got high flows things that are really focused on delivering High business value oftentimes pretty rare and can get those important things done as fast as humanly possible and now on to process automation designer over the years since pad has come out our platform has moved further and further past its olden days of relying oddly enough on Jelly for UI changes you know shout out to Chuck's original uh 10-year anniversary Tech now however power users of process automation designer have been still reliant on Jelly if they wish to utilize something like optional activities right now or excuse me in the past versions everything was part of an overall flow that was mandatory and if the requester that was using that Playbook had to go quote-unquote off script they weren't that left with that many choices Now by default pad designers can add both Global and Lane oriented optional activities this really further empowers the fulfillers but also keeps them on track and tracks what they're actually doing to help their requesters as best as possible even for those edge cases where they need to go above and beyond now that concludes my portion for platform but there are tons of things more to come so I'm going to go ahead and kick things over to Chuck for the final part with all the remaining platform features Chuck in Comes The Closer thank you Lauren Hey I'm going to start out with look at some of the next experience updates uh we came out with this in our San Diego release and one of the Hidden Heroes of our Utah release is accessibility I'm not going to go into all the details but suffice it to say that our team touched hundreds of UI Builder components the mobile platform and even went back into UI 16 to really make the platform more compliant with accessibility standards it truly is a first-class citizen right now also last year at our San Diego San Diego released we introduced Dark theme it was available for the next experience but as many of you noticed it had some gaps and in Utah those gaps have been addressed including standard listen forms dashboards the service catalog and way more I love the thumbs up that are going by on the screen thank you so don't forget about those reactions we're uh we don't get paid without them I'm kidding I'm kidding speaking of themes we've introduced a theme Builder to help you build your brand quicker and easier than ever before the hearts go up on the screen no more looking through lists of variables and trying to figure out what they mean it's it's all right here in an easy UI I'm looking forward to that one as well and if you're like me and I know I am you probably have quite a few favorites that you've built up over the years and you wish you could group them together easily well happy to say in Utah we're offering the ability to group your favorites from the same UI you used to organize and style them this is way way better than the method that hack that I came up with back at a computer Community live stream video a few years ago yeah I've I've Loved testing this in beta another next experience update that I'm looking forward to is the search across menus so many times I've tried to find something like midserver and got no results only to find out I'm in the all menu instead of I should have been in the all menu and I'm sitting in favor it's going with Utah you still get a response that there's no results in favorites and you also get an all results menu down below saying hey it's over there we'll find it for you this is a huge time and frustration saver we've also added a few more items to the history menu in case you noticed when you visit workspaces visual task boards and other custom UI Pages they now show up in your history quick note there is a property on the bottom of this page instances that are upgraded to Utah I need to set that property to all instances that are new to Utah we'll already have this set so just pointing out one of the gotchas in case you're like my vtbs aren't showing up showing up go check that property now for some updates for all you uui Builder enthusiasts out there we now have a method to quickly copy all the properties Styles and events everything in a component with one click we've even got a hotkey to make it easy it's like Ctrl D command D for duplicate and boom you got it now here's one that's fundamentally going to change the way you interact with UI Builder we call it the experience View what it does is it provides a bird's eye view of setting all the configurations for your entire experience yeah more more party horns are going by I love this we haven't had this on the last episode so still get used to it you can see the app shell the URL path the breakdown of pages and the variants you have the conditions and the audiences that they run for all of this is all in one place rather than going through UI Builder to find them out each one by one you can even go in and edit your sidebar configuration and theme right from the experience View and this allows you to focus on configuring those individual components on the pages rather than the pages themselves also another one that I have been looking for I've seen hacks to this in the past with Utah it's now possible to create custom product notifications those things that come up on your browser yeah we've all seen them you've got mail right in the system easy to configure way to do this right in the platform I I this is one of those things I wish I had 10 years ago when I was doing this but I'm still glad it's here it's very straightforward if you've managed email notifications before you know when to send who to send it to this would be very very familiar to you now I'm late to the game when it comes to UI Builder this is not my forte but I make a really good test case for features like this when you create a new page or variant the system now provides guidance on what a variant is when you would want to create one when you would use audiences and conditions it even provides help on page parameters what they are and when they can be applied how to see them in the UR all that great stuff just created right from the page I'm I'm digging this couple quick notes about mobile Mobile's been around since our Madrid release so that's what uh four years if I do my alphabet math Calendar Math correctly we continue to improve both the developer and the user experience the big push for Mobile in Utah has been around improving the experience for both the mobile users with as little configuration on your part if you've watched previous Technologies you'll know where I'm going with this is the coverage percentage that you can do from within mobile app builder Etc one item I'd like to point out is the input form screen it now supports barcodes and signatures these are a vast improvement over the old parameter screens I invite you to look at those the same screen also includes multiple file uploads for multiple types with visibility to the user on whether or not those uploads succeeded or failed and when it comes to working offline we've had offline since pretty much since the beginning users no longer have to remember to manually switch woohoo the system can be told to automatically do so and developers can configure actions to trigger a cache upload on a write-back action you can also also also add functions in the record section saving your users clicks so they don't have to tap into another screen to create or update a record and I mentioned the theme Builder before theming has been unified with the next experience so when you modify your theme on the desktop experience you can also modify and apply that to mobile at the same time it's not this Duality thing and in case you're wondering support for Dark theme on mobile is still on the roadmap so finally on mobile something that's been asked for the ability to switch between mobile instances Applause for that one you can now remain logged into multiple instances just like on your desktop how about that you will continue to get notifications for any one of them and tapping those notifications will of course take you to the related instance if you have more than one instance to choose from an icon appears in the upper left of all the launcher screens just a note this is scheduled to release later in the Utah release cycle so don't go looking for it on your pdis this afternoon or tonight or tomorrow morning it will be coming out later I believe I don't recall whether this is like a store one store two thing but uh give us some time to finish putting the letting the paint dry some security enhancements in Utah for those that are using our key management framework or kmf you're going to love this one we've added a kmf Health page to quickly access and troubleshoot issues with yours your customer or servicenow keys many issues can automatically be resolved right from this page While others may require a little bit of reading in a knowledge base and we'll take you to the appropriate knowledge base article a plug-in you might be interested in for for those of you that run in those higher audit slash governance organizations called identity Center and when you activate this you get a related link UI action on the sys user record that says view identity Center that brings you to this page that tracks currently active sessions login history even registered devices for things like MFA you've got to register that now up until now I've I'm an Integrations guy so I love talking about how to get data into servicenow and sometimes out this one is called stream connect and uh pranav talked about Hermes earlier this is a the log export service allows you to send information in near real time at scale think about sending your log files to Splunk for analysis for example this it not only includes your node log files but also the system log table very configurable you can do what you want here log export is part of our vault Suite you may have heard of that term if you haven't it's a set of tools that provide extra security again for highly governed highly secured organizations like government and Financial Vault also provides features like data anonymization code signing Secrets management and platform encryption I know there's a dollar sign about this one but I got to point something out much like integration Hub there is a zero dollar tier available that gets you up to 500 gigabytes and if you need more you go talk to your account team there's another drinking game we can make on this show your account team about pricing uh watch the Utah content calendar for an upcoming podcast on the introduction default well it's a tutoring slide I mentioned devlink.sn slash Utah and talk to your account manager not just a couple other things to close out real quick we are running down at the end of the hour and I want to save some time for Q a some nice features that I found just random cool stuff uh if you've been holding off on upgrading to the next experience maybe because guided tours were a blocker wait no longer all the tours you built in the standard UI UI 16 will work in Utah this has also been back ported and fixed in Tokyo patch 4 and up and San Diego patch 9 and up those were made available in mid-December 2022 and I know everybody's upgrade schedule is a little bit different but if you get those patches you can now get back to building guided tours and give people the advantage of going to that next experience uh no word on workspaces yet so don't jump on me in the Q a about that stay tuned another thing pointed out to me boy by one of our developer MVPs thank you very much for keeping up on this uh the code preview pane on the right of the script editor gives you a little more uh lifelike to to other editors with similar capabilities I also noticed that the expand and collapse little triangles over on the right hand side by the line numbers those are larger and only visible when you hover over them unless you got a picture like this where I have three collapse sections then they're always on so you always know when something's collapsed but makes it a little easier one final thing I noticed the JavaScript editor for new scoped apps now defaults to our 2021 standards rather than opting in every time and if you have an older app that was created prior to Utah you still have the option of choosing if and when to make that change that's all we've got for Utah so thank you Earl bernav Lauren for all the help we'll see if we can get some questions in real quick here's my call to action pretty simple upgrade your PDI as soon as it becomes available or claim a new one to get Utah those of you that are watching live again in subflows yes so flow die you I believe will be available for subflows as well yes and for float priorities is that we know that well I know that it's going to be part of existing flows that are already in the system but do you know if they're going to be if what priority will the default flows have or anything like that yes everything default priority for flows I mean yeah every currently will be automatically set to medium so everything everything will be it very very Vivid and then you can choose to delegate which higher or lower also we had one person in the chat one again Dark theme everyone went wild with um more dark stuff uh but as a reminder to some people if you configure your instance uh support the dark mode and you turn it on you might need to do a cache flush if you don't know what that is make sure to just look it up what a cash flush is and then they'll fix things for you for everyone Thanks for our viewer for saying we should mention that on air uh Chuck um for themes do you know if themes can be segmented in any way so for example theme one is for this company and theme B is for this other company or theme specifically available to only Subs some subset of users Etc great question my understanding is it's going to work a lot like the old UI 16 themes where you had a default and then people could choose their own after that but I need to clarify that thanks okay uh we had uh someone asking like well when can we have demos of a lot of these features and uh Lauren answered that person but on air we want to say we will be doing a lot of yeah I'm catching Lauren pranav have you seen any more questions that we should do I think a couple of people are asking about what are some of the use cases for RPA so there are a lot many use cases and some of them can be uploading data you have onboarding and off-boarding thing happening in your HR department so you want to automate those things these are manual tasks in healthcare industry if you have medical bills that needs to be processed so you can do that uh using parts so there are a lot many use cases that are there so we'll be having uh create a toolbox episode coming up so make sure you check that and in that we're going to cover these use cases also nice uh we actually had a few questions regarding our es or ecmascript 2021 uh stuff so we did mention on air that we are making new apps in Utah default to the new JavaScript engine but some people are asking what what about for Global support and so say fiber we have it's not necessarily uh in it's not in Utah yet for Global support for es21 but we do know that it is on the roadmap so that is coming it's just not in Utah yeah good answer uh well I think we're gonna have a question on that one thank you so much Earl
