It's a virtual projection of an external data object that looks exactly like a ServiceNow table, with columns, data types and a primary key in its definition. It shows up in Table Explorer, takes GlideRecord queries and answers REST API calls. Each time it's queried, the Zero Copy engine sends a live query to the source and returns the results. The table never stores a row, so the data is always live.
