As we build out LLM Gateway, we want to make sure the authentication model fits how enterprises actually operate today.

If you're already running an LLM gateway internally, we'd love to hear from you in the comments: what authentication method are you using between your agents/clients and your gateway?

Specifically:

• Are your agents authenticating with API keys or another key-based credential?
  
• Are you using OAuth-based client registration instead?
  
• If you use both, what determines which one applies where?

Your answer will directly shape how we scope authentication for LLM Gateway's initial release.

If you have a preference either way, let us know that too. If you're currently using OAuth but would consider API key-based authentication (or vice versa), we'd like to hear that as well, it helps us understand not just what's in place today, but what would actually work for your team going forward.
