[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching and welcome to my house that's Justin's house it's time for another episode of servicenow store highlights and this is going to be version 120 2023 that's right it's the January 20th 2023 version of the SSH or servicenow store highlights and I've got a ton of updates for you so let's take a look here at the stuff that I've reviewed this week and you should see 67 applications count them everybody 67 applications that were updated since our last episode that's what we're going to cover we've got a lot to cover so let's get to the release note fails first I'll go ahead and open those Up release notes fails for those who are not familiar this means that there is no release notes or insufficient release notes for me to tell you what got updated or what got changed but we see here the process automation designer activity packs for Adobe sign DocuSign Microsoft teams and slack all had no release notes on them also Cisco DNA grasp for you process Miner and team connect core if you're not familiar with this particular categorization of loose notes fails I'm going to go ahead and open one up in the servicenow store for you you're going to see we've got the application and if you look over here on the right hand side I've got the version and the other app version so if I go ahead and click on that you're going to see that this one has a patch release with the fix for the issue with an mtci being created in the cndb underscore CI table during cmdb synchronization same thing for version 2.0.1 not the same thing for version 2.0.0 so that's where the failure is I am not able to show you or tell you what got changed in that particular application that's what our release fails are there were nine of them in this particular batch of updates we'll move on to compatibility updates we had a few choreo asset Clarity rapid 7 threat command for security incident response and security scorecard for vendor risk management all had some compatibility updates or in the case of well it's right behind my head you can't see it there the security scorecard for vendor risk management also had a fix we're going to cover fixes here in a second but let's go ahead and open up the next batch it's going to be our fixes speaking of fixes you can see here I've got quite a few fixes in fact there's over 4 41 of them several of them are fixes plus I've added to the Highlight list so these will make a reappearance when we go through the highlights for this week's stuff but let's go through this really quick agent client collector for and the journey designer folks if you haven't noticed a theme Here servicenow is the author of most of these applications that are getting fixes so they've just gone through and done a swoop of fixes through the system let's continue now a legal request management listening posts log export service Microsoft Azure active directory spoke Microsoft teams Communications book Miro spoke next experience Readiness checker siros security incident Response Security scorecard for vendor risk management service operations workspace itsm applications servicenow Enterprise Asset Management shift security operations swisscom incident integration user inexperience analytics par integration Vivid charts and the one left workday HR spoke so lots and lots of fixes I don't know maybe servicenow is getting ready for a major update uh coming soon here in February so that is the fixes for this particular one let's go then to the new releases we only had four new releases let's hop into the diagnostic tool this is a self-surface diagnostic tool for all of the new Volvo applications to get resolution to common issues fast basically includes an automated automated diagnostic scan for nuvolo application support so that is a new release from the novello team NTT data Enterprise DX platform for ESG or I'm assuming environmental and social governance this is for Japan only but engage and Empower your employees for Accelerated sustained ESG value key features for functional features are management and disclosure project portfolio tracking policies and controls and audit technical features low code customization and automated workflows next up is the rap Dev lean into devops create enterprise-ready devops processes by reimagining the convergence of devops with it operational activities change management strategy and the practice of it business management key features improve developer efficiency and accelerate software deployment velocity ensure security compliance and audit Readiness track devops research and assessment or Dora metrics and the technical features a library of proprietary Integrations and tools ip4now.yaml and automated onboarding function last update here SPM snapshot or not update this is new application if you've recently implemented servicenow as your pmo system of record or you're using it for a while but you're not seeing the adoption you wanted this app will supposedly give you a clear view into the usage around project status reporting and potential waste of resource hours spent manipulating data outside the system to create critical reports key features are a user adoption metrics data quality metrics wasted hours resource hours calculation and you can see there on the sub bullets frequency of logins by PM role active projects last updated incomplete project records active Project without status updates active projects missing comments red yellow green projects our spent preparing manual status reports cost implication of hours spent on reports and Average status reporting cost per project so that is the new SPM snapshot that is the end of our new releases which brings us to the last part of our episode and that's the highlights I've got over 18 highlights to get through here for you we'll start with the luvio eternity incident integration they can now add servicenow incidents based on the incident collar in addition to the incident configuration item users can use the incident user field or instant device field by which to get eternity data in The Eternity application configuration additional enhancements improvements in this release I probably should have started there better responsiveness improve the process of retrieving alternative data during its maintenance time design improvements and Eternity tabs to better support long remediation lists and improved integration configurations error message when failed to validate the URL next up is app view X got a short list here and I highlighted what's new from the previous version so supported certificate authorities Microsoft digicert and Trust app ux and now Amazon and egbca scripted rest API support for updating Rhythm and task tickets that's the updates for app view X automation app had some updates they focused on oh I love this one focus on security and stability um with the smiley face and sunglasses now it'll manage the certificates in their automation account directly from runbook manager with a flexed bicep improve the syntax highlighting and output of Powershell 7 base run books with starry eyes and lastly made improvements to make the execution engine more robust to cater for situations where unexpected results caused by network errors or endpoint on ability would bring breakdown Communications double high five this is their update recommended for everybody and they appreciate all your feedback and all the great ideas that you're submitting I if I had a award for best release notes for the episode this would get it I like I like the fun I like the Emojis keep it up next up is Cisco WebEx teamspoke new location changes and they fixed the lookup meetings section client software distribution 2.0 this is part of the software Asset Management product minor release includes support to uninstall apps for SCCM which were installed without using client software distribution 2.0 so that's new for that one collaboration Services New is Zoom team chat fixed a minor issue and the true up is fixed fixed a minor issue in the true up is fixed okay yeah I guess that's a complete sentence with the you know prefix fixed uh collaboration Services that's the update Docker spoke in addition to the location changes fixed got authentication templates for the spoke setup IAM application support for multiple employment contracts recertification enhancements critical access combination enhancements field encryption support connector monitoring enhancements user instructions and password sending enhancements possibility to have company admin managed users within his or her or their managed companies finish language enhancements and portal improvements all for the IAM application IR collaborate release 1.3.0 adds a dynamic application service to allow for easier assessment of the impact for alerts and incidents of texting customers collaboration service Journey designer a servicenow app part of HR Service delivery fixed defects related to personalized message feature when the journey headers modified the personalized message will not pull the employees in the to field when a journal only is also a mentor the personalized message widget doesn't disappear after sending the email security defects for report ACLS are fixed and defects related to scope issues for creating HR Services of the promote type Journey HR Services of fulfillment time Journey are created in the life cycle eventscope and thus cannot be saved other cross scope issues related to HR Services were also fixed so quite a bit there not just some minor fixes legal matter management they change permissions for users with a report viewer role too few to view a few reports in the legal executive dashboard and legal counsel Center landing page legal request management they updated again that same report reviewer role but they also fixed an issue in the legal counsel Center where the email details were not showing up in the activity stream fixed an issue where legal request created from from a new intake Forum did not display the intake forms configured items and fixed the cross group error that appeared while opening the response template configurations module under legal Administration so both legal apps updated if you're having issues you might want to check that out next up is Microsoft endpoint configuration manager spoke got a release for the integration Hub and it adds four new actions run MCM script look up MCM script by name look up MCM script by response by operation script response by operationid and look up mecm script execution response um that was a mouthful I don't know I had that difficulty with that but that's the updates for Microsoft endpoint configuration configuration manager my assets validation version 1.1 they added the following features asset validation can kick off enhanced asset search capabilities in the kickoff page redirects the login page if the user is Idle or logged out into minor user interface fixes the next experience Readiness Checker they change at a responsive layout to the interface large count values are abbreviated count value for connect support now shows number of conversations instead of individual messages and updated application messages to accurately reflect State as of latest patch and family release fix some spelling errors and applications without any usage data returned will not show links to data lists next up the surface graph connector for Meraki includes the ability to filter cndb sync based on specific Meraki orgs support for enhanced servicenow security requirements when receiving Meraki webhook's new administrative and debugging menus to Aid into the Swift setup and troubleshooting the import job now supports pre and post scripts to adjust the data sync process improve setup experience and Bug fixes and compatibility for Tokyo smartsheets folk okay so this was fun they added actions Beyond user management and subscription management so what Justin did before actually recording this I went through and got all the actions for attachment management cell history column management comment management cross sheet reference management folder management row management send via email management sharing management sheet management and web hook management I compared this to the San Diego documentation that was on the dock site none of these look new so I don't know what new actions were added Beyond user management and subscription management if you know wasn't able to figure out what actually changed last one here on the list Vivid charts version 3.21.91 includes but is not limited to updates for updates to breakdown filters added the ability to aggregate on duration fields in the pivot chart and a fixed debug where timed bars would not show up in previews so that was a mouthful that was a lot of updates you saw 67 new or updated applications
