[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching in this video I got another throwback feature that got a little bit of a change in San Diego it's not an often used feature I don't use it pretty much at all but it's actually pretty cool and I'll start by showing you an incident right so everybody this could apply to any record in service now an incident a case or whatever you're looking at a form on the screen and you're like hey I need this information on paper for whatever the reason I'm not going to judge you for whatever reason you need it on paper if you go to your browser menu and go to print it looks ugly so you can see here it does not look good there's a scroll bar and this just doesn't work well now it used to be before the next experience you went to your profile up here and you went to your prep references and you could click a printable view to get to that so if you're an older version of service now go to your profile go to preferences or settings and you'll see this printer friendly version or printer friendly view that you can see right let me pull that back up click on my name there printer friendly version so that will bring up a version of this ticket that's more like a database form right so you can see I've got all the instant information on top I've got a running log of all the notes and then those related lists along the bottom are now broken out so you can actually see what was in those lists what's in those tabs and now when you click to print you've actually got a nice view of a ticket and most cases I've seen this used is there's a field services person or something and they want to like tape it to a laptop that's broken and you know it's sitting on a shelf in a room and it just want some kind of reference to it that's where I've seen it the most the other one is where people aren't using the mobile app and you know they're walking down the hall to help somebody they might want to print maybe the first page of this or something like that again it's a throwback feature not a lot of people know it's there don't use the browser print function use the printer friendly view I hope you found this video helpful if you did please like Please Subscribe or share it with somebody who you think might be interested in printing their servicenow tickets and until next time don't forget to always be learning [Music]
