ServiceNow Store Highlights (SSH) v09302022
[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching and welcome to Justin's house in this video I'm going over a new series servicenow store highlights or SSH and this will be the 9 30 22 Edition so September 30th 2022 what happened last week Tokyo dropped last week's servicenow let it out of the bag the general availability General release and what you might not have known is that there was a big drop in the servicenow store as well so lots going on I had a lot to research and cover for you I went ahead and added this to my features app that's where I'm going to track it for now that may change in the future but you can see here I'll scroll the bottom over 104 Store updates on the servicenow store now let me get the easiest one out of the way here real quick little filter I'm gonna I set some tags on here so I'm just going to add a tag here for uh performance okay so a lot of the updates that dropped on 9 20 or 9 21 2022 even though this is September 30th took me a while to go through all these you can see here spoke spoke spoke spoke spoke spoke spoke spoke there are over 42 spokes in the servicenow store that either had as you can see here maybe a little fix or something but all the rest of them had this performance update and essentially don't go out and update you don't need to go out and update what it is it's a installation performance fix on all of those so um don't fret over that you don't really need to worry about those if you're new to servicenow or you're installing the fix or the part or spoke for the first time you're just going to have a better performing spoke because they fixed the or they've improved the performance so that was over half almost half of the updates um the other tags here you'll see are fixes so let's go ahead and filter on fix so I'll just set my tags here and we'll show the ones that were fixes now most of these were either minor fixes like fix something like a may change the field name or something like that you can see there's about 35 of those so I'll just leave this on the screen so you can see here a second everything from rode monk to shift planning to coaching to some ESG stuff flow templates some security operations items Azure and then some components within some features you're going to see on my Tokyo release highlights related to the platform analytics workspace and fixes there so again minor things not really worth bothering you with or taking your time so let's show the last one that I do want to spend some time on here and that's the stuff that I marked as I'll highlight I want to show you it so let's go ahead and run that and you'll see the stuff that will show you about 25 things that are worth you seeing it looks like it just took my filter away so let's put that on there always when I'm recording or doing a live demo does it do weird things so let's just type in highlights and we will show you I will show you the stuff that I wanted to highlight for you so the first one is these employee experience packs okay these are for the HR Service delivery Suite if I open up one of these I've got Earth Day and sustainability campaign there's some release notes be careful if you look at them a lot of them are for San Diego not Tokyo even though it dropped on the same day as Tokyo but you can see the contents you've got some campaign campaign bundle some content banners events mobile banners knowledge articles surveys and for me I have a link to the store so I could see what's going on there so employee experience pack lots of updates on those you may want to go look at them but let's look at the rest of this uh export to PowerPoint 1.0.2 for APM for strategic portfolio management this is part of the Tokyo release it's one of the new features to be able to export to PowerPoint so I'll have another video on that and let's cover the rest of them here third party releases so this is not servicenow stuff you can see access check Beneva barcode and QRS code generator from yonso Labs screen me upmax simple data separation sand performance dashboard koala Stave data tools Citrix bug zero return center asset track proven Optics invoicing Westbury sec2go certificate app insert machine identity management proven Optics all got updates none of these were new but they did get all updates in the last week on the servicenow store Blue prism spoke got an update and you can see here from servicenow some new job manager functions around get job status those job output start job some get process parameters and a list of processes around Process Management so if you're using blue prism you might want to go take a look at the spoke update for blue prism we'll come down here to client software distribution this is a servicenow product usually rolls out with Sam it's a minor release But it includes some includes some changes for Microsoft InTune so I was like Hey that might be important for everyone to see we'll show them what that is cloud provisioning and governance for the terraform connector got some new complex variables they've changed the support from v1.1 to v1.2 added support for Ado repositories within the terraform Enterprise Cloud they fix some quality issues and removed IBM IBM Cloud support document intelligence again another Tokyo feature that got a lot of love in this latest release so support for table extraction and autofill automatically predict whether a given attribute is present or not in document linking a group Target record with a parent record fix some defects around process tasks and extraction values and additional validation to prevent unsupported user actions there's our employee experience packs coming in so I'll hop off of those since we talked about the that already we've talked about export to PowerPoint lightstep team bridge I have to admit I'm not as familiar with the light step I haven't tested it I haven't messed with it but you can see there's some new stuff around delegation of incidents and alerts on the Enterprise tenant manually sharing alerts to an lir instance improves synchronization faster import to lir remove the assign to field stuff like that for light stuff that we were using that the Microsoft Azure directory spoke while it did get um uh probably the performance fix I thought this was cool there's some new functionality for device management so adding and removing devices from groups looking up devices and checking to see if a device is in a group and they change the name of the smoke or spoke not smoke um so they just unabbreviated active directory change it from ad to active directory so that's what's new there Microsoft InTune got an update on their spoke enhances the lookup managed devices kind of related to the ad spoke you saw there but we also have a new action to look up application assignments in the intunes book SharePoint got a new uh feature in the spoke look up role assignments so you might want to take a look at that one mobile publishing some changes there around the module name so request branded app versus managed mobile pushing publishing apps change the landing page documentation now pointed at Tokyo fix some things around artifacts and translations performance you can see there I won't read the screen to you so security operations logarithmic integration a bunch of fixes I thought were worth it wasn't minor fixes so some error checking do duping tool tips and improved logging and for event ingestion so good stuff there the itom subscription unit licensing so now they're supporting a mixture of health log analytics and item health so some fixes also around performance Azure data bricks correcting due duplication criteria and minor product defects or defect fixes software Asset Management SAS license management got an update so there's some defects around crowdstrike or there were defects for crowdstrike jira and Sam workspace they fix those for jira Confluence Cloud about fetching groups crowdstrike was an accurate looks like client access license records and Sam workspace some subflows and SurveyMonkey and Confluence crowd crowd Cloud Integrations splunky yes for secops got an update some missing notable events when this bunk server has having a downtime the splunky S event task table and handling a delay in security incident response creation Fetch and pull schedule jobs are now split into two different jobs exciting stuff there vulnerability response for Palo Alto Prisma Cloud new seed data for cloud resource types wow chains enhance the cloud CI lookup rules and fix some support for tag sets around that so that is the servicenow store updates for 9 30 2022 I usually get these back to me on uh Tuesday of every week that'll give me some time to go through it and if there's anything relevant to share with you I'll try to get it out there on Fridays I hope this is helpful if you like it if you'd like to see something different please leave a comment down below let
