Tokyo ITAM Better Together
hello my name is Matt brasel and I'm an I.T Asset Management solution consultant here at servicenow and today I'm here to discuss the new platform features coming with our Tokyo release as far as our it Asset Management solution is concerned and the Better Together stories or those areas of the platform that it Asset Management Works hand in hand with the topics I'll be covering today are those Better Together Solutions between the vulnerability exposure assessment that's been integrated to our software Asset Management solution creating a Better Together story between our security product and our Sam product additionally I'll be touching on the asset management executive dashboard providing that one pane visibility at the executive level for all asset functions as well as our technology standards and onboarding workflows new to the platform creating that Better Together between our application portfolio management or APM module as well as RIT Asset Management module first I wanted to cover our vulnerability and exposure assessment in the Tokyo release now this is new in the Tokyo release but I do want to call out that it is limited in our store application and is still ongoing as far as this solution goes but I wanted to highlight its capabilities and the the main capability comes from being able to evaluate your exposures to these vulnerabilities by identifying the impacted software installations inside of your environment and with this new assessment these VR users are going to be able to search for that those impacted software installations by invoking software asset management using the cpes and there's going to be normalization function to all of this like we've seen in hardware and software Asset Management we're going to be able to normalize these rules for cpes and those are going to be curated by the same content team at server is now making sure that you have that standardized view of all of these vulnerabilities and exposures in your environment the next Better Together story that I wanted to touch on is that application portfolio management as well as software Asset Management Better Together coming in as the technology standards and onboarding workflows and this is going to allow users to evaluate the technology and add this into their technology standards list or catalog and this is going to enable Architects to govern and advise the organizations as they approve these standard software Technologies additionally through leveraging salmon APM as well as the service catalog you're going to be able to manage the onboarding and rationalization of these Technologies all while being able to Define and track relevant life cycle stages to each of these assets the final piece I wanted to cover here is the asset management executive dashboard and this is really that that One-Stop shop high level view for all of the products ranging from software hardware and cloud and bringing that all under one umbrella in one view rather than needing our customers to go to those different workspaces that's the major piece of this asset executive dashboard and this is going to provide the capability to oversee all of those asset functions have visibility into the health and life cycle across the entire asset estate and providing Executives with a dashboard and workspace so that they have that space to make those high-level decisions and manage kpis as well as ultimately lead to cost savings now I'm going to step us out of PowerPoint and into a live instance to show this particular solution so we're now here in a live instance looking at the asset management executive dashboard and we're going to be presented out with key widgets and pieces of information reporting at the highest level of our asset estate we're going to be able to see the total spend broken down into Hardware software and Cloud as well as the actual savings coming from our software and Cloud environment as well as potential savings that we are yet to see as we come down into view we're going to be able to see the asset fulfillment time so this is going to be broken down into software and hardware and this is going to indicate the number of days that it takes for the number of requests to be fulfilled making sure that we are accurate and efficient in fulfilling those requests on the right here we're also going to be able to see those completed software goals and software success savings and as we move down inside of this view we're going to be able to see the missing Hardware assets and the numbers on the left as well as the true up cost for our software environment that's going to be the number that it would take for us to get into a compliance position today we're also going to be able to see expiring contracts that expire in the next 90 days allowing you to be proactive about those renewals and address those expiring contracts finally we're going to be able to see the number of assets being pulled from our pooled inventory versus Net new purchases as well as what software and Hardware models are nearing their end of life in the next 90 days I'd also like to call out that we have the ability to drill into these widgets and lift the curtain and see all of the data Behind These wonderful numbers and we also have the capability to filter this dashboard Down based on the particular type of asset that we want to see if we don't want to see it all put together that concludes what I wanted to show as far as the Tokyo release goes in today's video if you want more information I encourage you to go to the servicenow store products page as well as our main website to learn more about what's coming in our Tokyo release thank you so much for your time
