hi welcome to this Tech bite on the now platform Tokyo release features for software Asset Management in this video we're going to go over some of the new features within the Tokyo release specific to software asset management and then additionally Cloud insights and so on the software Asset Management side some of the new features include success tracking license and Cloud cost simulator an advanced playbook for a Salesforce CRM integration and then additional licensing enhancements and capabilities additionally for cloud insights we've added Google Cloud as a cloud provider on top of azure and AWS and some of the other enhancements we've made are an Azure integration and database optimization for your Cloud resources before I get into a deep dive of some of the new features with Tokyo let's talk about some of the challenges we wanted to address with this release So within it Asset Management first we want to make sure that we can manage all of our different assets and so we'll see this here in one of the other videos for Enterprise asset management of how we can keep track of both our connected and non-connected assets the second challenge that we addressed with the new features are to understand all of the different data sources around asset management and how we can consolidate our data for our different assets into reporting capabilities that we've enhanced on the platform and the third area that we wanted to address for it asset management is to keep up with success metrics as our software Asset Management program changes so let's get into the features the first feature that I'd like to mention is the software Asset Management success tracking this is going to be a new view with health checks as well and this is going to allow Sam teams and managers to track progress in different domains of software Asset Management Sam managers can now drill into interactive reports create success schools and measure the progress across those goals and so one of the ways we can do this is creating the success goals viewing projected savings versus actual savings and then identify activities and implementation that were part of success or require areas of improvement within Sam okay so jumping into the software asset success portal we can view our success activities success schools and our success health checks so being able to track on and report on these different success goals allows us to drill into what is working and what progress we're making in terms of Asset Management Open success goals we can track the ones that are in progress and if we open this goal up we'll see more details around the gold description the group or owner of this goal and then how we're tracking this from a timeline perspective as well as from a savings perspective additionally we can view our success goals by category and this allows us to drill into the different activities and implementation that were part of that category success the next feature that we'll discuss is the license and Cloud cost simulator this is going to be part of software Asset Management including Cloud insights the intention of the cloud cost simulator as most organizations are starting to move from on-prem to the cloud we're seeing more of that Trend the intention is to simulate what that estimated cost difference might look like to build the business case for moving those resources so the value here is that the simulator helps with decision support for those stand managers to understand what that cost might look like and be proactive when choosing your different service providers all right so diving into the cloud cost simulator it's going to be a new tab in the software asset analytics workspace we can view the different cost estimates and then take a look into some of the recommendations as we start moving our on-premise environments to the cloud as part of a new enhancement to software Asset Management Enterprise servicenow can now manage Google Cloud resources within Cloud insights on top of AWS and Azure we've added Google to leverage Google's Cloud usage and billing data let's Spotlight some of these other honorable features we've added some new capabilities for our SAS Integrations including a walk through playbook for creating a direct integration into Salesforce some of our licensing for Microsoft servers both windows and SQL servers we've added some enhancements including SQL Server optimization and the ability to track on your Windows server and SQL Server infrastructure additionally we've added more enhancements to our licensing so for IBM we have user license metrics including authorized user external user and employee user and this does not require an ilmt and integration we've also added the ability to report on unlimited licenses for entitlements and this is so we can accurately report on unlimited use software and that concludes the feature specific to software asset management and Cloud insights on the
