[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching in this video we're continuing our conversation around devops servicenow devops and uh and this one we're kind of coming full circle and we're going to talk about the system Health the health of all your Integrations and stuff that's going on so I'm going to go ahead and jump right to it but go to the all menu here and we look at devops I want to point out this system Health dashboard that's showing right there so I'm going to pull that back up here in just a second after I draw my arrow and you can see system Health dashboard it's in the administration section of the devops menus that come when you install devops but really important here I'm going to talk a little bit about the number of Integrations you can have so maybe you've got your planning tools your coding tools or pipelining tools like we showed I haven't shown any yet for testing and software quality results or security like pen testing stuff like that but that can start to add up and you get all these different things that are connected to servicenow which means all these different things could have stuff happen like change passwords expired tokens changes upgrades to those tools themselves that change the way the API works or upgrades to servicenow that maybe the credential needs to be updated or the particular parameter needs to be updated so what we see on the dashboard we've got the number of events that are uh part that are happening as part of all these Integrations the we can see those Group by state we can see them Group by Tool and you'll see there I've got in my demo environment jira bitbucket GitHub and Jenkins my tool that I've got configured Azure devops isn't part of this out of the box report I need to go back actually put it in there but not important for this to kind of see what what's available that's out there but we've also got retired account or retrieve counts are not retired retry processed how many errors what's waiting so when in these devops workflows or flows and flow designer there's decision tables and steps where it's actually waiting for a duration of time where it's waiting for a particular event and or these API transactions as well they'll wait and so if someone says something that's it's not working could be an error but it could also be just sitting there still waiting and we need to go you know make sure that event happens or fix a decision table that's got a possibility of nothing ever being decided which is one of the things I had to troubleshoot on my particular configuration here is a trend of events over time and other processing duration the amount of time it's taking the process an event and how that's trending over time so we see some spikes here into the looks like the uh what is that how many is it milliseconds if that's milliseconds I'm not concerned about two milliseconds or even two seconds really that's not bad at all but if you were seeing something crazy high here you know you might want to go look at it look up top here for these events you could filter them by Tool and capability so there's these drop downs here where we could say hey I want to see you everything Justin just showed me but only for bitbucket or only for GitHub if I wanted to look at capability I could say hey I only want to look at my coding Integrations or my planning tool Integrations and troubleshoot one of those so you got some filtering there again bringing this all to one place the last tab on this is just like a connection history or connectivity status for the different tools so that's showing there and for mine is the only real one that's connected in this demo environment it is connected it is working successfully it did it today um so that's nice and healthy but it could be a place where you could start and come in and say hey who's disconnected what who's having issues uh with these Integrations so that's the system Health dashboard within devops again centralizing everything because if you're doing devops well you're probably going to have a lot of Integrations and a lot of Integrations means a lot that could be misconfigured or changed and you need to troubleshoot so bringing that all into one workspace I hope you found this video helpful if you did please like Please Subscribe or share it with somebody who you think might be interested in administering servicenow devops or devops change velocity and until next time don't forget to always be learning foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music]
