Workplace Reservations uses the Employee Center favorites feature to allow users to mark frequently used/preferred workplace locations to easily reserve them again moving forward.

Plugins

Employee Center – 25.0.3 or later.

Workplace Reservation Management – 2.2.2 or later.

Note: The Employee Center plugin needs to be installed to use the favorites feature even if the Employee Center Service Portal is not in use.

Configuration

Enable Favorites on Portal

The favorites feature needs to be enabled on the service portal that will be used for Workplace reservations.

1.) Navigate to Service Portal > Portals

Alternatively, type sp_portal.list in filter navigator and hit return.

2.) Personalize list view to include 'Enable Favorites'.

3.) Set 'Enable Favorites' to true for the service portal record that will have the WSD reservation page.

Validate Favorites Content Configuration for WSD Rooms and Desks

1.) Navigate to Favorites > Favorite Content Configuration.2.) Ensure that the following Content types are listed in the Favorite Content Configuration form:Desks (sn_wsd_core_space)Rooms (sn_wsd_core_rooms)

Marking Favorites

Click on the favorites icon (♡) to mark a location as a favorite.

Quick Reservation widget

Make a reservation page

Favorites are available in all three views: card, schedule, and map.

Unmarking Favorites

Click on the favorite icon (♥) on a location already marked as a favorite to remove it from favorites.

Using Favorites

Once a workplace location has been marked as a favorite, you can perform the below actions.

View Favorites

In the Employee Center Homepage (/esc), click on the heart icon on the top right.

Click on the location to directly make a reservation for that location, or a reservation for a nearby location.

Sort by Favorites

On the 'Make a reservation' page, it is now possible to sort by favorites.

Quick Reservation Widget

The quick reservation widget now prioritizes locations marked as favorites.

Shared Reservations

If the user is reserving a space using a shared reservation email notification using the 'Reserve a space for me' link, the application automatically reserves one of the favorite locations that has closest proximity with the space reserved in the shared reservation details.
