[Music] oh [Music] hey everyone it's justin thanks for watching in this video we're going to talk about one of my long time favorite features i've been dying to make this video and that's cab workbench cab meetings can be fun i swear put on some music pull up the cab workbench and we'll actually make this fun so let's get into it i'm actually looking at the list of cab meetings within servicenow on the screen and i'm going to open up this one it's for april 26th uh i'm not doing this on april 26th and i just want to show you a couple basic things about if you're the cab manager how you can set up these meetings number one is we can have delegates we can have a manager run the meeting we can have a group that's managing the who's who's actually doing the approvals and stuff like that i can have conference details like you're seeing here on the screen and importantly one of the most powerful features of this one of the powerful features is the ability to manage the agenda so i'll show you a couple of things that are going on here first we can specify a date range we're going to pull those change requests into our cad meeting second thing is we can set up a condition around which capped which changes that meet that date criteria should come in in this case i'm pulling in normal and emergency changes the ones that are high moderate risk and the ones where the category is network so think about this if you have different cabs for different teams or different functionalities or different technical groups and stuff like that you can have as many cabs as you want so this is a scalable solution for your cab meetings the last thing here i have a control over how things are ordered on the actual agenda for the cab item so i can say do from risk high to low and do the assignment group a to z right so i'm just changing the way that's going to show up this will make sense here in a second second thing i have a button here to refresh the agenda items so things are going to be coming in well after you've created the meeting and so you may want to pull in additional agenda items so if you come in here as a cat manager they before cab pull it in and then i'll bring in all those agenda items we can also see associated with a cap meeting the attendees that should be coming and importantly we can send them meeting requests out to the attendees so that they know that they're supposed to be expected at that cab meeting now what does that cap meeting actually look like that's the whole reason i'm making this video and i'm going to show you what that looks like on my screen i'm going to change the view here i'm doing just do something i've never done before and put myself in the middle on the left hand side i have the i'm the cab manager on the right hand side i'm a cab attendee and this is what the experience is intended to look like so your cab manager would come in they'd open the cab meeting for the network cab your cab attendee on the right would come in and they would open the same cab meeting in their web browser they could be in the conference room they could be at home they could be in their office the idea is they're going to be looking at the same thing now notice that my cab manager has the ability to start the meeting my cab attendee does not have that ability so there's limits on functionality what can be done i'm going to go ahead as the cab manager and start the meeting now did you see what happened on the right hand side the cabbage and the change for the cab attendee this is automatic this is out of the box i didn't do anything special anyway so uh the person who's running a cab they can end the meeting use some controls over here they can approve or reject they can dismiss it or demote it they can go pause and say hey we're still waiting on who's this for um beau rugry we're waiting on him so let's pause this particular one and let's go on to the next one so we'll just hit next there notice and we'll hit okay now watch what happens on the right hand side when i go to the next agenda item i updates on my side would go to a failed rate card floor and on the right hand side same thing a failed raid controller now notice the cab attendee on the right they're looking at this their screen they can come over here and they can see what's on the planning what's on the schedule they can flip to a calendar and they're not impacting the rest of the people in cabs they can look at the details they need to look at person on the left who's running the account meeting they can look at the change request they can go to planning they can look at the schedule they can change the calendar view and do what they need to do now both of these people also have access to the meeting notes for the meeting so if the cab manager wants to do something with meeting notes they can put them in here i'm just going to put some nonsense in there if the cab attendee wants to look at meeting notes they can see what notes are being taken but they can't alter them they can't change them so we have a record of that and for the particular change request we're looking at if we want to go ahead and approve that we get our comments blah blah blah blah and we say we're going to do this the cab approval group again pay attention to what happens on the right hand side it's automatically going to approve that change and move on to the next item so the next item is going to be the increased db block buffers from 5000 to 7500 so we'll go ahead and go next and the current agenda item has not been approved oh actually there it goes uh let's see there we go go next and now we're on the next agenda item it changed the cad manager it changed for the person on the right hand side who's attending the cad meeting this is an incredible feature in servicenow it's not something i get to demo often it's something i've actually used as a cab manager as an itsm manager in my past and i think it's incredibly useful that was before people were working remote but you can just imagine here we set up as many cabs as we need we have experience for everybody to see the details that they need it's automatically updating in real time for everybody who's attending and it just makes the cab that much easier i hope you found this video helpful if you did please like please subscribe or share it
