Week 6 of ServiceNow SkillBridge is in the rear view, holy smokes six weeks already! This week was a pick your own path week as we dove into learning JavaScript. We were given 36 videos to watch where Chuck Tomasi started us on our journey of….Confusion! I mean JavaScript. Chuck was such a great trainer, even though it was over recorded videos it felt real. When you have been in the military for an entire career and worked half of it on the training side you see a lot of similar type videos and they do not compare. Thanks for what you do Bow Tie Guy! DeAnn Boudreaux called you that the first day and it just stuck, I am sure that is not the first time you heard it! I am looking forward to next week as we have a structured class on Scripting in ServiceNow. I learn best by doing. Since we just had the videos this week I was able to focus on studying for the CSA Exam which I take this Sunday. So many times for certain things in the military you have to study on your own to avoid any chance of “test compromise”. This week was great as POD 3 really came together every day with some TA led test taking over Udemy and even some student led sessions. The repetition really cements the concepts. I hope my crazy ways of remembering answers with funny sayings or acronyms helped everyone! Never forget that Deann eats PIE at the BAR! Thanks to Christopher New new my mentor for reaching out to someone in his network to get me even more study material. I have a good feeling I will do fine but I will continue to low key stress about it. Congrats to those in the NextGen program that passed their CSA exam this week. Your advice will be paramount to all of our collective success. Thankfully Herb Thompson decided he was sick of being on vacation and spent a few hours with us going over interview strategy and tips, was great to hear from our cohort members as some of us have been to several interviews in our careers. POD 3 - As always this week was a blast. Thank you for the continued motivation to be great, the laughs and continued information sharing! Robert Waltz, DeAnn Boudreaux, Patrick McCrary, Paul Jaskowiak, Regine Ashley, William Gamez, Zackary Sirrine, Victor Roman and of course the TA the other PODs wished they had Irma Ortiz.#Militarytransistion #ServicenowNextGen #servicenow #skillbridge #Transitioningservicemember
