This blog will walk you through some simple steps you need to follow to import the data from a excel spreadsheet into your service now table.

Step1: Create the .XLS which matches the column names of your service now table.

Step2: Create an import set (System Import sets > Load Data)

Successful creation of the import set (click on create transform map)

Step3: Create a transform map

Please provide the name of the target table

Click on “Auto map matching fields”

You will see that column names from the excel sheet is mapped to the columns in the target table.

Click on Transform

Ensure that the selected map is the same that you just created

select import set and transform map

Click transform

successful completion of transform

verify the actual table data
