Virtual Agent | Non-actionable notifications | ServiceNow

Import · May 23, 2021 · video

in this video i'm going to demonstrate how we can configure non-actionable notifications for virtual agent so to configure one of those notifications let me first show you the existing notifications which we already have so to take a look at that i am going to type provider in the application navigator and then i am going to go to this notifications module let me filter this by incident table so out of the box we have these many notifications already available so let me try to create a new one so this new notification which i am about to configure will be sending out a notification let's say when a particular ticket is assigned to a user so let me give a name similar to the same notify assigned to user so triggered by the card change let's keep both inserted updated we can keep updated as well only and the condition which i'm going to give over here is assign to changes and then i am going to select the assign to field over here let me just go ahead and save this so if i want to send this notification to additional users i can select anyone in the users field as well or maybe some other field from the user in fields field and once this notification is configured i need to configure one provider content as well as this already says that no content is associated to a notification so i just go down towards this particular related list notification contents and i'm going to click on new provider content here i will go to virtual agent content chat i can give similar name notify assign to let's keep it noticeable assigned to this time and i want the notification to be triggered in the form of a card where it will display all the fields and the related values within a card we'll see that in a minute and what all fields i want to send as part of the notification i want to send the incident number who created the ticket what is the short description of the ticket to whom this ticket is assigned to so that users show that okay this ticket is assigned to me that's why i'm getting this notification and if we want we can also include the description and we can give a message heading uh let's keep this one for now a notification has arrived and you can continue the conversation after giving the notification and the message i'll include us an incident is assigned to you please take a look that's it now if i submit this so we have also this checkbox called enable link if i keep this checked then a link to this particular i mean whatever the ticket is submitted by the caller will be sent to the assigned to person now if i click on submit so my notification is file and finally configured now and let's test it out i'm going to create an incident and for that incident i should be getting a notification on my team's virtual agent app let's click on new i am logged in as justin bell so getting mr caller in that case so let me give a short description over here facing some network issue network issue while in windows server will be my description and let me save this ticket so when it's an organizational uh module then the ticket is by default assigned to someone based on the configuration item so in this case i don't have that kind of a setup since it's my pdi so i'm going to directly assign a ticket to one of the users so let me assign this ticket to harshad in this case and once i'm going to save this ticket harshad is going to receive a teams notification saying that hey this ticket is assigned to you please take a look so let me save this so now the ticket is assigned to herself and he should have received a teens notification here is the notification on teams i am logged in as harshad so this is the message heading which we discussed about when we were configuring the notification and this is the text which i used that incident is assigned to you please take a look and these are the details facing some network issue assigned to this person description is this and this is the link if i click on this link this incident will open in the browser so this is how actionable sorry non-actionable notification works in servicenow along with virtual agent app and we can configure any kind of notification that we want to i just showed you an example the only limitation which i feel about when we compare this feature along with the feature that other apps of service now for example now action provides that we do not have the luxury here to cool the notification which is being sent according to our own way if i talk about now actions app the virtual agent is 10 000 times better than now actions because now actions is only for notifications but when it comes to notification format we have the luxury to write our html code and format our notification according to our own will so in this case it will be simply like a box which is okay as long as it is giving some kind of an information to us but it kind of also feels a bit dull but that's how it is for now so thank you for watching
