to celebrate five years sn utils i'm sharing a few of my favorite slash commands let's get right into it slash rnd all mandatory fields that are empty will be filled with random values next up this is a custom one slash inc is for incidents so i'm adding two options updated today updated or created by me how many results do i have when i hit the right arrow key now when i add utils it will search the short description as well and it only leaves one result i can navigate to it with keyboard by hitting one this brings me to the incident form and here i can show one of my all-time favorite technical names this will show the the name next to the labels as well as the the choice list value and a lot more you can click through on it all i have documented that earlier in other videos so now when i select here i see a slash command and when i select it i hit slash again and now when i hit backslash it will replace that with the selected text hitting enter it will navigate to the matched record that is found it was found immediately and it is the record of fred luddy slash code and then awesome this is a embedded code search leveraging the code search api so you see that it will find in the hits in several tables i can navigate to it and i have some options as well slash sa is another good one you may have a long list of applications by hitting sa you will pull up the last 10 you have selected you have and now i can easily switch back to global by hitting 2. there are a lot more you can hit for example me to go to your own record and there's a really a long list you can explore them all they you can create your own if there's appetite for a more in-depth explanation of how this works please leave a comment or share your favorite slash command in the comment as well really appreciate it thank you and see you next time
