hello and welcome to phil goes deep and welcome to my live submission for the creatocon 2021 hackathon um and now i'm going to get straight into the pitch completely unrehearsed and i'm doing this in one take and this is live so if you want to get involved you can just join my hackathon instance and you can see what's going on so i'm going to cut straight into it and introduce you to obs overlays we've now experienced an app engine studio so a brief overview of this is making the world of streaming work better for streamers you can see here that i've got a pretty complex diagram but i'm aiming to simplify this using now experience so you can enhance your live stream with now experience using servicenow to help manage your stream and enable live viewer interaction from any device anywhere in the world so what's the problem enhancing the experience of your live streaming shows can be time consuming and often requires specialist skills and highly technical solutions this can be difficult to set up and maintain puts extra strain on your local machine resources and takes time away from what really matters producing high quality content so what's the solution workflow it now experience obs overlays provides a show manager workspace and viewer portal to help manage your stream and increase audience interaction as well as providing you with feedback in real time and enhanced analytics once you are set up as a show manager you can start to configure your overlays and let servicenow do the heavy lifting as a viewer you can easily register using sso with the sn dev slack channel and get involved instantly shout to jared for that one thank you build enduring relationships with your viewers and drive greater interactions to enhance your live streams today so i'm going to give you a live demo right now so in my instance you've got this obs overlay section you've got the manager workspace which when you land on the landing page you can see that i've got one show happening now this six updates on here i've got three different viewers and if i go to the current show you can see the details over on the section of the screen just up up there is coming straight from this record this is my show right now so i can maintain this let's say i've got to take a quick break i can just do a quick brb and that will update instantly onto the stream i can keep my information up to date and maintain it there in addition to that you can see the updates that are flowing um along the bottom are actually coming from the the shout out functionality so in my viewer portal as long as you've got registered as a viewer you can say um thanks thanks for voting for me okay and post the shout as soon as you post that shout that's coming up and it's got a timer on there so that will expire but this updates feature is actually going to update now this update feature also gives the ability to interact and integrate with other areas of the internet for example you could pull feeds from slack channel you could use this for handling requests you know depending what you want to do on your show this whole theme section everything to be set up can be handled through now experience so um what else have we got we've got uh some analytics we've got some um oops got the wrong screen up this is what it's like when you live stream with me anyway so real life if we go into this show record and if we look at the ui builder uh no actually app engine studio is where i did all of this so app engine studio just keep an eye on the time we've got four minutes we've been involved for four minutes so we've got uh probably 50 seconds max this obs overlay has got all of my detail in here so i've got relationships with the viewers the updates the overlay portal and the manager workspace so in the overlay portal for example i'll just show you one of the pages where we can get some analytics and within this portal which is available publicly which gives you the viewer portal as well and also allows obs to consume that overlay maybe i should have had this open in the background i've got a few pages because i'll just open this straight from the app engine template everything was configured in app engine studio and you can see here here's a dashboard and we've got one active show and you can see the number of updates as they're coming in right now on the show so um that's it that's my entry and uh good luck to everyone shout to the world class racking crew so i couldn't be part of the team this year thanks to everyone who's helped out uh thanks to everyone that's been streaming all the uh team that's been involved in this uh event i've really enjoyed it and um yeah good luck i'm just going to wrap it up there make sure my entry is in on time and wish everyone the best of luck stay safe and take care thank you
