[Music] foreign [Music] thank you for watching and welcome to Justin's house in this video I'm going to show you a feature in Tokyo that I've been sitting on for a little bit to see how I preferred the setting for this feature and I'm going to show you the behavior first and then I'm going to show you how you actually change this I've got my PDI up here behind me I'm going to click on start building which is automatically going to log me in and you're going to notice when the instance pulls up behind me that it went to a page that is not like a dashboard or something like that so this is my application my Tokyo release note Pages where I'm looking at all the stuff that came out in Tokyo and this just so happens to be what I was looking at the last time I was in the platform I think it was like last night and what's neat about this setting is if I move into something maybe platform analytics workspace and go do something there and then I were to leave the instance again and click on here and log back into the instance it's going to take me back to platform analytics workspace here's what I love about this what are you most likely to want to access when you co leave and come back to an instance it's for me probably going to be the thing I was working on before I left the instance and so that's why I really really like this feature let's go ahead and show it to you if you go up to your profile and go to preferences and hit display there's a feature down here on the bottom left for your current start page and the different options for this feature are use the default which is set by your system administrator use dashboards which is going to take you to that dashboards landing page use the page I'm on now which is actually the just to set hey I want platform or analytics workspace to be the what I land on every single time so just depending on what you're looking at if you use this it'll set it to that page and then what I'm using the can continue where I left last left off which you can see there a little tiny text is back to my current start page so no matter what I'm doing when I come back in here it's going to take me to where I last left off so we'll just open up a feature here application portfolio management what a great application and there's a feature there that I was looking at and I go out and because I gotta go walk the dog or do something I come back in on my MacBook and it's going to take me right back to that feature again this I think is really helpful in my workflow I wanted to share it with you all in case you weren't aware of this feature it is kind of hidden up there and it's really small but it's incredibly helpful I hope you found this video helpful if you did please like Please Subscribe or share with somebody who you think might be interested in having a more pleasant experience when they log into servicenow and until next time don't forget to always be learning thank you
