Part 3 - Mark Login page as public
[Music] welcome back to our panda tech uh video series where we are going to learn that how we can create a new portal using ui builder and in the series we are going to see that how we can make our login page as a public page and i have milaf with me himala hey good morning good morning so so guys in the last video what we did is we created a login page but still this login page is not accessible by public users so what we are going to do is we are going to see that how quickly we can make this page as a public page and to do do that we have something called call as uh variant setting and audience so mila if you can tell us about variant and audience so there is this concept called variance right uh what basically happens is for a given uh page let's say if you have different personas let's say manager has to see see something else then the employees then you can create different variants where you know you can add more components for the managers but uh less components for the employees and those variants will be separate and you can assign audiences to the uh to the variants so that's what we're gonna do here so so basically in a nutshell audiences are nothing it's kind of a rule associated with users or a group of users that's correct okay so here's what we're gonna do we're gonna click on edit add variant settings not here sorry edit audience and here we just had to add an audience and in our case we are going to add public so if you don't see the public audience then create a new record and says ux applicability table with rules value as public because we have to assign this for public users and we have to just click on save it will be adding it and we have this audience here and done so i think mila that's the stuff that we need to do to make this page public exactly so now if you just open the incognito and just try to access it at this page you should be able to do it yep just give me a sec i have my incognito window here let me resize it let's call dev nine seven five slash now slash pawn attack and login and we are up so see that we still don't need to go back into our main ui and service now and platform to edit this feature using audiences we can give whatever rules we want to do that so in a nutshell ui builder is a place where we can achieve anything and everything for ui builder we don't need to touch underneath platform experience for that yeah most i would say most of the uh features can be accessible directly through the ui build yeah and that's it for this video and in the next video what we are going to do is we are going to see that how we can create a new home page so that after login you will be redirected to that home page and and on that home page we are going to add some widgets to give it a look and feel so until next video
