Hello everyone,

As it says in the documents /knowledge articles (links below), we need to activate a plugin to use the “sn_request_read” role along with the approver_user role, to be able to see the Variables that are available on the requested item to approve. As “approver_user” role (alone) can’t view the Variables of the “Approve requested item” in the Mobile app (Due to a issue with an ACL according to ServiceNow).

But the problem is that the "sn_request_read" can view all requests and thats not anything I want (due to requirements). Depending on release version.

I wouldn't want to assign an Approver for requested items the business_stakeholder role (As it contains more roles than only a approver_user and sn_request_read role).

(Note from ServiceNow): As there are future updates expected for the sn_request_read role, do not assign it to users without the business_stakeholder role.

Found a change of the role "sn_request_read" to "sn_request_approver" in Orlando release.

What i found in my personal instance was the "sn_request_approver_read" instead, should be the same..

You can view the requested items and its variables you are approving for only, when it comes to "sn_request_approver_read" along with "approver_user".

It's the perfect role to use with approver_user role for our requirement!

Test the functionality on a subproduction environment before you deploy it to a production environment!
