hi i'm deborah mcgrath a senior technical product marketing manager with servicenow in this three-minute video i'll be demonstrating servicenow ppm collaboration for slack and ms teams when employees work remotely project collaboration can be really difficult as a result project team members may miss important updates risks decisions or changes and projects can take longer to complete but for those servicenow ppm customers using slack or ms teams the ppm collaboration app is a perfect solution the ppm collaboration app provides integration that enables servicenow ppm project managers team members and stakeholders to collaborate in real time over a slack channel or ms teams channel automatically created for the project servicenow project task assignees are automatically added to that slack channel or ms teams channel and important project details and daily updates are synchronized between servicenow to slack and ms teams let's see how it works we've logged into servicenow ppm as a project manager paul martin part of his project checklist includes enabling ppm collaboration for either slack or ms teams in this example paul clicks on the enable slack collaboration related link on the project details page which automatically creates a new slack channel for the project this is also how paul would enable collaboration for ms teams which we'll see in a minute he go see his existing project team members as collaborators additional team members are automatically added to the slack channel when they're assigned a project task in servicenow the team can also share and view any documents that have been uploaded here servicenow will send a notification to the slack channel whenever a ridak item is created keeping the team informed about all risks issues decisions actions and changes and the project slack channel team will automatically get a daily project status message which will include the project overall status tasks due and any delayed tasks for example the csm implementation project has one project planning task due today there are three overdue tasks and two other project tasks have been delayed likewise when microsoft teams collaboration is enabled in servicenow a channel is automatically created for the project in ms teams daily status is automatically displayed and as people are assigned project tasks in servicenow they'll automatically get added to the ms team's project channel so they can collaborate with the project manager and other team members as with the slack integration if a risk is added to the project the team members will automatically be notified about it in the ms team's channel along with any other important project details all in all they experience better project communication and greater productivity when the project manager closes the project the ms teams or slack channel for that project will automatically be archived 15 days later you just saw how ppm collaboration for slack and ms teams makes remote project collaboration better by providing integration that enables servicenow ppm project managers team members and stakeholders to collaborate in real time automatically see task assignees in the slack channel or ms teams channel and receive important project details and daily updates that are synchronized between servicenow to slack and ms teams for additional information visit servicenow.com itbm
