this is chris tessier with clyde fast consulting today i'm going to do a quick overview of the new alignment planner store application which is available with the quebec release of the servicenow platform the new application is free for current iot business management customers you can see in the instance navigator we have the alignment planner workspace applications and modules let's go ahead and select roadmap planning from the robot planning workspace we can see roadmaps that were created and are owned by myself and also roadmaps that were shared with me by other members of the project management organization but for today let's go ahead and create a new roadmap we can provide a name to our roadmap a start date and end date for our roadmap we can also provide additional details and add stakeholders to this roadmap as well and select our source table if you're an itbm standard customer you'll see options here for demand and project whereas if you're an itbm professional customer you'll see options for additional agile work items such as epics from here we can also provide additional filtering we'll select a plan start date of any project that occurs on this year now we can see that all of our projects have been added into our roadmap into this particular view if we like to customize it we can go ahead and select the gear icon and we can customize the visuals such as the colors and how it's being grouped in this roadmap we'll select the color by strategies and we'll group by our portfolio from here if we'd like to add additional fields onto the bars in this roadmap we can select fields such as the project manager and also other fields from the project record itself so let's go ahead and select the total plan cost now we can see our bar line has been updated and we can see the total planned cost value on these particular records in this roadmap if needed i can also drag and drop these projects and move them around on the timeline and also increase or decrease the duration of these projects by simply dragging the icon within the bar menu as well we can also add other projects into this timeline that may not have been scheduled so we can go ahead and view other projects that have been unscheduled and say if we'd like to bring this in we'll go ahead and drag it into this timeline view and from here we can also move it into different portfolios and adjust the timeline for that particular project as well so the ui is highly flexible and configurable based on your needs to build out these roadmaps from here we can also collaborate on the roadmap as well so if we'd like to communicate with other members of the pmo organization we can have a conversation here and add notes we can also add attachments to the roadmap as well so if we need to associate project artifacts or documentation all that can be attached to the roadmap as well this has been a quick overview of the roadmap application if you'd like to request it you can view it from the servicenow store and install it into your instance if you have any other questions feel free to reach out to glidefast consulting also check out all of our other great youtube videos while you're here thank you and have a great day [Music] you
