[Music] hi i'm travis dolson i'm a senior architect on the servicenow platform hey everyone it's jared montz here from the sn dev slack channel moderator and currently the engineering lead at a servicenow partner my name is andrew albredore i'm a senior service now developer i was nominated for a developer mvp award for 2020 i've been working on the platform for about five years now and i really love servicenow there's so much interaction and so many people that are so um passionate about servicenow as a platform i've said to so many people if you interact with the community and share what you know you get so much more back it's like a tenfold you share one thing and you learn 10 things and it just really helps it also helps raise your own visibility to your skills for your peers peer recognition getting selected to present at conferences and then possible future employment when i first started on servicenow the community was a huge asset to getting me off the ground i mean i still knew very little about software development and programming in general i had spent the better part of five years maybe closer to seven trying to learn programming in a variety of different languages and always failed to get a start the servicenow community gave me the resources and assets that i needed to get off the ground and get running number one favorite thing about the servicenow community is the people there's a number of people that i've met up with in real life at conferences and a bunch of people that i talk to on a regular basis that i've never met face to face and that keeps the the involvement fun and kind of keeps me motivated to to publish things and get things um get things completed i find i always have the confidence to pitch something impressive because i know that if i haven't done it before somebody will have and the servicenow community will be there having my back being able to [Music] support and assist and share with me on my journey through a big project or a cool implementation or some awesome new feature that i've had some crazy idea about everyone's always excited about new things and cool things whether it's on platform or an idea that you have that you want to develop
