the viewports are a page within a page um so viewports allow a customer to extend a page without needing to actually own that page and so an example of this is that if servicenow made updates or upgrades to one of their out of the box record pages and and a client was using viewports to add custom uis or third-party uis they would still be able to reap the benefits of those changes that servicenow made without them affecting their custom uis within the viewports there are three different um three different components that we're delivering in quebec that are viewport enabled components and those are the tab component the contextual sidebar component and the dashboard component
