_Cohesity ServiceNow Integration_ allows you to protect or recover VMs(vCenter and AWS), databases(Oracle and MSSQL) and Cohesity Views with policy-based automation for the centralized management of service requests, tickets, and approvals. Manage workflows including VM and databases protection, cloning VMs and Views and databases for test/dev, searching and restoring files and folders, unprotecting or changing level of protection for VMs, enabling on-demand VM and database backup, creating and protecting Cohesity Views from ServiceNow.
Key Features
The Cohesity ServiceNow plugin offers the following features:
1. **Backup and recovery :**
- **Register**** :** The users can register or unregister a Protection Source on the Cohesity Cluster. It could be the root node of a vCenter Server, a Physical Server, Database(MSSQL & Oracle), or AWS EC2 instances .
- **Protect**** :** The plug-in also provides end-to-end data protection for virtual server, physical server, oracle database, MS SQL database, AWS and View. Users can create and run protection jobs for these adaptors.
- **Recover**** :** The users can also recover/clone virtual machines, databases (Oracle/SQL), AWS EC2 instances, files and folders which have been protected.
2. **Inventory management** **:** Users can view the configured cluster information and discover the available sources.
3. **Incident/Event management** **:** The plug-in provides bidirectional alerts management from ServiceNow using Cohesity Webhooks. Users can configure ‘Cohesity Webhooks’ to forward any alerts raised on Cohesity to ServiceNow as an Incident with all relevant information. These incidents are managed and resolved in ServiceNow, which also resolves the alert on Cohesity.
4. **Supports multi-cluster environment :** The plug-in supports multi-cluster management that would help users who have registered multiple clusters that protect multiple resources.
5. **CI Relationship** **:** Users can view CI relationships between the resources populated in the CMDB table with their respective relationship type.
