It works on any table that extends the Task table, with extension points for customizing grouping logic to fit specific workflows.

This framework powers FSM Task Bundling, which uses it to identify which tasks are eligible to be bundled and scheduled as a single unit. Most teams won't interact with this framework directly as it runs underneath Task Bundling and other grouping-dependent features.
