About
The integration of Asimily Insight with the customer’s ServiceNow CMDB is enabled using the Service Graph Connector for Asimily. The connector pulls detailed inventory information within Asimily for connected devices within the customer’s network. This includes basic device parameters like manufacturer, device type, device model, software version, serial number etc.; IT parameters of a device like its MAC, IP, Hostname, OS, Connection Type etc.; and other parameters related to risk and utilization. In addition the connector also pulls information from Asimily about all the applications running on a device and the network ports that a device uses to communicate with its peers. All of this information is first pulled into import sets and then mapped to the appropriate CMDB tables through transform maps.
Key Features
1. The primary use case of this integration is to enrich inventory within Service Now based on detailed device context within Asimily.
2. The data pulled from Asimily into ServiceNow includes following device information: Hostname, MAC Address, CMDB CI, Location, Business Impact, Data Impact, Anomaly Present, Average Utilization Percentage, Department, Device Class, Device Families, Device Model, Device Type, Facility, Hardware Architecture, Impact, Is Connected, Is Currently In Use, Is Networking Device, Is Wireless, Last Discovered At, Last Import Date, Likelihood, Managed By, Manufacturer, MDS2, OS, OS Version, Region, Risk Score, Software Version, Serial Number, Stores EPHI, Transmit EPHI, Uptime, Utilization Percentage, Patient Impact, IPv4 Address, Asimily ID, cmmsId.
3. In addition, all the applications running on a device and the network ports that a device uses to communicate with its peers are also pulled into ServiceNow.
4. Note that vulnerability data and any alerts data is not being pulled into ServiceNow currently in this version of the Service Graph application.
5. Further no OT data is being pulled into ServiceNow in this Service Graph application
