This page details our backup and recovery solution, Own Recover Connect, to protect the mission-critical data on the ServiceNow platform. Own Recover Connect works directly with the Own SaaS platform, to provide the following:
* More control over backups \- set your own backup schedules for your production and sub-prod instances; take backups on-demand
* Flexible retention policies \- configurable retention policies enable you to keep your backup data for as long as you need it (up to 99 years) for your compliance, regulatory, and data analytics needs

* Restore with speed and precision \- quickly restore only the exact data you need from any backup in your history without affecting good data; restore data in self-service fashion
Own Recover Connect is a custom scoped application containing two Scripted REST API endpoints. The application works together with the Own Platform, Own's proprietary web based product, to extract and backup ServiceNow data externally. Today, the Own Platform uses the out of box REST Table API to extract and backup data from ServiceNow.
