- Data Discovery is a feature within Data Privacy, which is part of the ServiceNow Vault subscription entitlement.
- Data Discovery gives you the ability to discover sensitive data - using out-of-the-box data patterns or by creating custom regex patterns - and take action: for example, classify, report, or view. It provides visibility and cataloging of sensitive data which is an essential first step towards preventing data loss or exposure. This enables organizations to implement appropriate security measures and improve their security posture.

- Discover data using OOB data patterns (e.g. credit card, SSN, phone number, email ID), create and validate custom regex data patterns, AI/ML Named Entity Recognition (NER) data patterns 
- Generate regular expressions from user prompts using Now Assist
