Document Merge is a custom application built on ServiceNow platform that generates MS Word documents through binding of pre-designed MS Word template with any data stored in ServiceNow.
It creates documents that perfectly fit any organisation MS Word design by utlising your existing MS Word templates through additions of data placeholders where its values will be retrieved from the corresponding records in ServiceNow table. The MS Word document generated is automatically attached back to the record, either by keeping single copy of most recent merged document or stored in various versions of the documents.
This solution can be used in any process within ServiceNow and not limited to Visual Task board, GRC Audit documents & reports, Risk Assessment reports, Purchase Orders, and many other processes.
Why Document Merge? Apart from ability to generate a WYSIWYG Word document with any formatting available in MS Words such as watermark, header & footer, wordart, images, & etc, it can also retrieve data from any related tables and dynamically added its rows of data in a single multipages word document.
